The Gift
I woke up one morning and I heard a small still voice say, Come my child, lets go out and play.
I said with surprise, dare I go out on such a beautiful day?
The small still voice said, dry those tears from your heart and your eyes leave them with yesterday.
Follow me my child, for today you play.
But you don't understand I said, there is no place for me in this beautiful land, you just don't understand.
For sure, for sure, there could if you would.
There could if I would, don't you know they say I'm no good?
There could if you would they just simply misunderstood.
I looked at the morning sun, and I did like what I did see.
A wonderful revelation gave birth in me the past no longer had its place in me.
I'm a conqueror you see, the Kingdom of God lives inside of me.
Wake up, wake up we must go and play, lets not miss a moment of this precious glorious day.
Be still my child, what do you see?
A beautiful brilliantly colored rainbow was in front of me.
It was the most beautiful rainbow throughout history.
I felt so humble; I fell to my knees I could hear the wind gently rustling through the trees.
The small still voice gently said, to everyone a beautiful rainbow is patiently waiting.
My dear, dear child never let anyone steal your glory.
Stealing is an old, old story.
There will be many who will try, my rainbows you cannot buy.
See "I make all things new", as fresh as the first morning dew.
And I did look and I did see, the most beautiful carousel filled with laughter and glee.
Come my child, follow me.
We got on the carousel, Jesus and me, all darkness and gloom dispelled from me.
Jesus and I walk hand in hand in Victory.
What a precious gift, I am now free to be me.
