A caucus of despair stems from fate unknown
Encumbered in grief, I lurk on my own
A sordid path of thorns and stones walk my way
Destiny chooses a path in which I have no say
Where hardship beckons me: a chalice of pain
Staring at me with arrogance and disdain
Where no tranquility or hope does abound
In a realm of darkness and not a sound
Encircled by confusion, heartache and pain
I call out to the Almighty God in vain
For forgiveness and deliverance I stand and pray
When friends feign ignorance and turn away
Only in His Remembrance; a respite from woe
So choose the type of deeds that you sow
