The Power of Prayer By Thomas Kutz In the dark of life and the dark of night When hope is gone and ever-present is fright. I will bow my head, I will fall to my knees. I will swallow my pride, I will pray to thee. When pain overwhelms me, when I'm consumed by fear I will pray to you, I will pray you come near. When all else fails, when I'm let down, I will pray to you, that you'll never let me drown. When tears flow endlessly down my face Prayer is my boat into a sea of grace. Prayer is the healer of my heart. You always come to fill each missing part. When I have nothing left below, I will pray to you from whom all blessings flow. When I have no idea what I should do I will bow my head and pray to you. For when life is dark and oh so cold, You draw me near and give me your hand to hold. Praying to you makes me complete. You hear all prayers from your heavenly seat. You take my struggle when of nothing I'm sure. And you lead me to an open door. You take the tears that weld my eyes. And you lift my head to beautiful skies. Your presence comes and fills my soul. With you, my God, I am made whole. I pray to you Almighty God above. And O how strong thy redeeming love. I'll continue to pray day by day. And let you lead me through the fray. And I'll forever remember what you taught. And let love forever fill my thoughts.
