Freedom from Depression

"Depression" he calls it,

Eating away at him,

Every second,

Every minute,

Every hour,

Waiting for happiness to throw him a rope,

To pull him out of his slump,

But the waiting did feel like an eternity,

Oh but in a time of quiet he did realise!

How he had felt so sorry for himself!

If only he had looked at the pain,

Come and go,

Come and go,

Merely an emotion like any other!

Come and go,

Come and go,

All along he had been his own worst enemy!

He grasped the sword from within,

And pulled it out with all his might,

Only he could bring his sun!

So why did he wait for the sun!

We all have highs and we all have lows,

Albeit different extents I know!

So never feel alone in your gloom,

Whoever you are,

I am with you be it dark or light,

To keep your moral and make you bright
