This is a song I wrote about a week ago, edited, and am now posting here. I may edit the lyrics further depending on whether or not my band is actually going to use the lyrics for one of our songs.

-THROUGH THE STORM- Ben Hall -
I was lost in a barren wasteland [of sin], with nothing more than the sharp claws of worldly pleasures, wrapped about my throat, to drag me through my days. The winds [of time] whipped the sands [of my choices] though my skin, tearing me apart. I was being swept away, but then you pulled me out of the dark and helped me step into the light.
Your love will carry me through the storm.
Though the rain splatters in my eyes, (echo) through the storm
And the mud below sucks at my feet,
Your love will carry me through the storm.
Drowning in anguish, cries were strangled before they left my lips. Fate, [or so it seemed] had dealt me a bad set of cards. Opportunities were stolen, wrenched from my grasp. I cried for lightning to strike my head, I prayed for disease to kill me. But then you stepped in, healed my wounds, delivered me from the sorrows.
Your love will carry me though the storm.
Your love will carry me
Through the valley of shadow and death, (Your love will carry me, carry me)
Through the final days to come, (Your love will carry me, carry me)
Through the darkest nights, (Your love will carry me)
Your love will carry me
Through the storm
Though the rain splatters in my eyes, (echo)through the storm
And the mud below sucks at my feet,
Your love will carry me though the storm.
