As he stands at the enterance to this dark valley,
he can hear other's as they scream in agony.
He swallows hard,
and thinking about the burden he feels he has to carry.
He steps on to the path, "He is with me." he silently utters.
The mountains are high.
the winds blow decaying things all around
he can see a woman rocking back and forth,
sobbing as she sits on the ground.
She looks at her hands,
savagely, she starts tearing at her hair,
looking at the man,
he wonders if she knows he is standing there,
she screams "I've lost my child, I am nothing if not a mother.
He hugs her.
Still he moves forward...
Some have stopped on the side of the path,
some have no will to keep going,
some pounding at the base of the mountains,
others stare at the clouds as they insanely laugh,
While some move forward, praying, hoping.
As he makes his way through,
he can see some are thirsty,
he is tired, and cold, he knows this surely,
but he stops, giving some drinks and food,
giving his clothes to those who are nude.
He tells all within ear what he knows.
We must move forward...
Some follow him as days turn to months,
as he trips over rock, and steps into pot holes,
he looks back and tells them where he found the bumps.
As the rains come and go he turns craters into springs,
and helps to make shelter for those who are cold.
As they trek through pools of dirt and blood,
venomous snake hiss and snap at their feet,
the people hold each other's hands,
and encourage those who weep.
They keep moving forward...
The Valley of Weeping
