We the moon, seek to shine,
bright, noticable, for all of time.
Though, seasons predict our relations to life,
we still are there to give our light.
We would not be seen if not for the sun,
summers, winters, nights short, nights are long.
Some times unnoticable,
we can not be missed.
At some times we bring crashing tide,
and still we can bring a sense of peacefulness.
We the moon, know the value of the sun,
but deep down, we want to be number one.
Our light and heat pale,
to the warmth and light that the sun can give.
Alone, we can bring out the worst in those that live.
We the moon, offer something to look to,
when some one is in need of light,
But we, the church, are the moon,
and the sun is the Christ.
