And upon hearing the words of the Angel, I spoke unto him, saying: "Oh great Angel and messenger of he who rules the cosmos, the great 'I AM' the creator of all that was, is, and ever shall be. Pray do not rebuke me and causeth me to fall down with a great fear and trembling and a gnashing of teeth, and let me not howl in the darkness, for truly I say unto you, I know not what it is that I have done to bring forth Gods great Angel to chastise me thus!"

And the Angel spoke unto me, saying: "why dost thou disappoint the Great Lord, God of all creation? Hast thou not listened? Doth thou not harken to my words? Art thine ears full of sealing wax, that thou doth acknowledge my presence but heareth not my words? Hast ye not realised yet that I am a messenger from the Great 'I AM' God of all that was, is, and ever shall be?

Why doth thou treat my words with disdain? Why doth thou turn thy back and walk away? Shall I rebuke thee? Shall I fill thy mind and body with fear and trembling which causeth mortal men to gnash their teeth and howl in the darkness?"

And the great Angel looked down upon me with a great nodding of his head and a look of pity upon his brow. Then the Angel did speak again, saying: "I shall explain it thus! God moves in mysterious ways, his wonders to perform. And though man may predict the weather, or fire himself on great rockets to other worlds, or harness the power of the sun, that he might destroy himself, yet there is much that man does not know, or can know, about the fate of the world. Verilly do I say unto you, that Gods hand can be likened to a great game of chess. For today, mayhap a pawn will move, and tomorrow another pawn, and though these pawns might seem insignificant to mankind, yet do they make a path for the arrival of the Knight, the Bishop, and the Rook! And these pieces in turn clear the way for the Queen to travel the board. And all these pieces together, do protect the King from harm. But though men may play chess, yet can they see but a few moves ahead. But the great Lord sees all movement together! Nothing is hidden from God, but must needs be that many things are hidden from man, else that man would lose hope and find despair in knowing the outcome of every living minute of his life. And what of death? If a man knew that tomorrow he must die, would he strive still to make himself better than yesterday, or would he sit melancholic, only waiting for death to collect him?"

And upon hearing these words of the Great Angel, I fell down upon my knees and beseeched him to explain to me in which way these things involve me, and what part, if any, I must play in Gods game of chess.

And again did the Angel speak unto me, saying: "Doth though remember once when thou didst stand upon a beach and watch as the waves of sea water trickled over the sand? What didst thou see? Thought thou that thee did see but water rolling onto the beach? But look closer! See what happens when the gentle waves glide over the sands! See what changes occur! Look beneath the thinnest wave as it covers the sand, and there just below the surface, hundreds, thousands, millions, of grains of sand do move with the water!

Now look forward, or backward through time and see how these tiny grains of sand, having been moved by those gentle waves, have changed not just the beach on which thou wast standing, but the shape of the land, the island, upon which thou doth live!"

And again I spoke to the great Angel, saying: "Oh great Angel, these are wondrous things that thou doth show me, and I am in awe of thy great power and knowledge. But what is the meaning of thy visions? Am I to be a wave, or am I a grain of sand?"

And the Angel spoke for the last time, saying: "The oceans are made of untold quantities of waves. And in turn, waves are made of untold quantities of droplets of water, which all combine to create the waves which I have showed you. You are one of these droplets of water, no less important than a wave, or an ocean, for take one from the other and all do cease to exist!

And so here is your mission. Publish thy visions! Tell people of those things of which I have shown thee, for your stories can be likened to a pool in which thou might cast a stone, and that stone causeth ripples in all directions, and though people may attach no importance to stones which thee will cast, and many of your stones will go un-noticed by many, yet there will be results! Like one grain of sand moving on the beach, which over time changes the shape of the world!

Share my words! Share these visions, and let him who have understanding, be moved by them, and in so doing, prepare the way for the next move in Gods great game of Chess!!"

And with that the Angel did depart, and my mind was full of thoughts and visions and confusions. Yet I knew what must be done, and I also knew that I did not desire to be rebuked by Gods great messenger and be caused to shake and tremble and howl in the dark! So, here is my story, my dream, my vision!
