Emma ran through the prairie, dragging her small, bony fingers over every grain that swayed in the sweet summer breeze. She was dressed in a rose colored blouse and white skirt, her feet bare and long red hair flying freely behind her. All was right with the world.

Suddenly, the sky painted itself black with a violent storm. The golden crops began to waltz with anxiety. Rain was about to fall. Because of the grains' unusual gait in the wind, Jordan lost sight of her. He began to panic.

As soon as his heart raced, the sky ripped open and a monstrous tornado headed for the green, eerie horizon. As if blinded, Emma kept pursuing the west end of the field, straight towards the twister. Jordan yelled and screamed but she did not heed his voice. In an instant, the funnel took Emma into its vortex and she spun wildly to her grave in a twist of daisies.

Jordan bolted upright. Rachel sat up with him. "What's wrong baby?" she asked him.

He studied her face in the darkness. "I had a dream about Emma."

Rachel was awake now. "What about?"

"She was playing in the field and it began to storm. A tornado touched and I panicked. Without another bat of my eye she was gone." Jordan exhaled. "I think we need to pray, Rach."

She took his hands and they prayed for health and protection for their precious daughter, Emma Lisette. After Jordan said "Amen" , Rachel got up to take a phone call. She did the sign for "hallelujah" and wiped her eyes. She hung up the phone and plopped down on the bed.

"What is it sweetheart?"

"That was Linda, Emma's best friend's mom. They just now avoided a fatal car wreck. Now, they're on their way home safely. You just interceded for our little girl.
