I remember when you told me to 'Get a life',
You never told me what 'life' is though,
You said 'Life is different to Living'
But what is 'life', what is 'living'?
A question unanswered? An answer unknown? Another impossible thing to describe?
I remember when you said I was 'dead to you',
You never explained what 'dead' was though,
You said 'Dead is different to Dying'
But what is 'Dead', what is 'Dying'?
A question unanswered? An answer unknown? Another impossible thing to describe?
More and more questions circulate around my head,
What is 'Life'? What is 'Death'?
Is Life a feeling? A state of mind or a state of being? A type of action? A way of being yourself?
Is Death a rest? A feeling? A break or an ending? The pause in the middle or the final act of a cosmic production?
You say these things but never ponder upon the meaning of your words,
Maybe one day, a question unanswered will be answered,
An answer unknown will be known to all,
An impossible thing to describe can be described in such detail as to lead to complete understanding,
But until that day, we are all left wondering...
