Born in Germany in 1949 and moved to the US with my family in 1957. Lived in Southern California through my schooling and learned to love nature. Collected butterflies, lizards and snakes. Worked for the Southwestern Research Station the summer of 1970. It is a biological field station of the American Museum of Natural History. Fell in love with Southeastern Arizona while working here.
Moved to Bisbee Arizona the next year. Worked at a zoo there for a couple of years before starting my own business manufacturing and selling mineral collections for about 15 years.
Moved to Saint David Arizona in 1986 and started a gift shop with my wife Mary. Made jewelry of wood and stone that we sold in our store.
Wrote a nature column for the local newpspaper for a couple of years. Had a number of adult education courses I did for our local college on Natural History.
Hobbies are photography, mineral collecting, lapidary, nature studies, exploring with an ATV and gardening.
Loved reading Science Fiction when I was younger and started writing short stories after a nasty divorce from my first wife, a catharsis for me to write down ideas that came to me on long hikes in the desert where I live.
