My best friend sarah has always had a way with guys. She's drop dead gorgeous with platinum blonde hair, perfect teeth and a tan swimsuit model's body. Me on the other hand, well i'm the exact opposite. I act as though guys are from another planet, and get really awkward when I try to talk to one. I bite my nails and absent mindedly chew my hair like a freakin cow or something. HELLO, hottie central here! Aha, seriously though. There's this one guy I really like, i'm pretty sure he's a greek GOD. He's tall, tan and muscular, with sandy blonde hair that sweep across his gorgeous emerald green eyes and he has a nose most celebrities only obtain through plastic surgery. Every feature about him his perfect, down to the freckles that run across the bridge of his nose. Ugh I sound like a total stalker. It's just, I've had a crush on him since KINDERGARTEN, and i've never actually had a conversation with him. The most we've communicated is when he asked for a pencil in 7th grade from me, at exactly 1:08. I'm just kidding, I don't now the actual time that would just be creepy. Sarah and I were hanging out after school and she was talking about how it was her and her boyfriend Max's 2 year anniversary tomorrow, and I just broke down crying.

"Christina? Christina what's wrong?" She asked hopping of the bed. I hugged my knees sobbing. She came and sat next to me putting an arm around me comfortingly.

"Why do I have to be so BOYSTAPATED?"

"What on earth is that?" She laughed.

"You've probably never had it." I muttered. "It's when you really like a guy you know you have no chance with but you can't help but like him, and everytime you see him it feels like the life is being drained out of you. And you try so hard just to muster the courage to talk to him but you just can't get the words out. That's what boystapated is." She turned to look at me.

"Christina, Liam's not the right guy for you. He's a player."

I sighed. "He's the right guy for everybody." She shook her head.

"Somebody really likes you, you're just to blind to see it." I laughed.

"Yeah right. WHO?" She grabbed her bac pack and slung it over her shoulder.

"Gotta go, guitar lessons. I'll text you later!" And with that she left, leaving me alone in my room boystapated. The next day I walked into 3rd period, science and sat down next to Sarah and my other best friend, Jared.

"Hey guys." I said pulling my binder out of my bag.

"Jared thinks you look really pretty today!" Blurted Sarah. I felt the watchful eyes of every person in the room centered around us. His eyes went wide.

"What?! No I don't!" Realizing what he had said, he quickly added

"Not that you don't, I mean you always do it's just... Never mind."

He looked down at his desk, laughter echoing throughout the room. Well that was weird... I thought. But I forgot all about it when Liam walked in. He came right up to my desk and casually leaned against it.

"Hey beautiful." He said, and planted a kiss on my lips.

"Hello I sit there." Spoke a voice impatiently. I shook my head coming out of my daydream. I looked up ready to tell off whatever idiot wanted to take my seat. But I froze when I saw liam, backpack slung over his shoulder sexily, a black leather jacket thrown on over a tight, white t- shirt.

"I.. I'm so sorry." I stammered and picked up my binder.

My colored pencils scattered everywhere and I bent down to pick them up, cursing under my breath. Someone placed a hand over my own shaking hand, and I looked up brushing a strand of her out of my face. It was Jared looking into my eyes. "Let me help." He whispered, and helped me gather the rest. He handed me the remaining pencils shyly, avoiding my eyes.

"Thanks." I whispered.

"No problem. What are friends for?" He smiled weakly.

After class I went through the lunchline and got my pizza, and headed towards our table. Sarah patted the bench next to her excitedly. I cocked an eyebrow at her, and looked to Jared for an explanation but he averted my eyes.

"Jared has something to ask you." She cleared her throat. Jared pretended he didn't hear, and continued to eat his pizza. She kicked him hard underneath the table.

"OOF!" He glared at her. She nodded slowly.

"Christina.. I... I wanted to ak you.. will you-"

"Hey Christina." Said a voice as smooth as silk. I pinched myself to make sure I wasn't having another fantasy and glanced up, confirming that Liam was indeed standing at the foot of the table, wanting to talk to me.

"I was wondering, do you want to come to my football game tonight?" He asked. I nodded excitedly then realizing I looked like a total weirdo, I slowed down. But then I just looked like something was wrong with my neck so I just stopped altogether. He flsashed me a bright white smile.

"Great I'll pick you up at 7." He smiled again and turned to leave, dropping a piece of paper on the floor. I scooped it up.

"Liam you dropped this!" I called waving the paper in the air. He turned his head and winked. I blushed and stuffed the note in my pocket. I turned to Sarah and Jared.

"Can you believe it?! LIAM ASKED ME OUT!" I squealed.

"I gotta go." Mumbled Jared and picked up his tray.

"Jared wait!" Called Sarah. She looked at me with a hint of disgust.

"Open you're eyes Christina." She spat. I opened my mouth to say something but she left, running after Jared. I looked down at me pizza suddenly not feeling so hungry. Why can't my friends just be happy I'm on my way to becoming non- boystapated?

That night I got ready for the game. I didn't know much about football, it actually bores me. But Liam wants me to go, and I wouldn't turn that down for anything..
