As always, I will tell you how much I like this book by telling you how many times I've read it. I've read Weekends Required by Sydney Landon 3 times. Yes, that's right.
Why because it was just one of those books that was a light read, easily enjoyed with characters who were very likable.
Claire is an assistant to Jason Danvers the hot young business man that she always had her eyes on, but knowing that he's the boss she didn't think of it as something she can act on. Claire also had some family issues that had made her take a second job as the woman who jumps out of cakes for bachelor's party. So she had popped out of the cake in front of his boss and his friend who was to soon be married everything in her life turn upside down. She couldn't hide her second job anymore and he never looked at her the same way again, but in a very good way.
My favorite thing about this book is the intensity between the two characters because Jason being a serious business man he wants to keep seeing his assistant professionally like before. And Claire knowing that having a relationship with his boss is totally wrong it just makes their attraction to each other steamier! They want each other and they know it.
Another thing I love in this book is the characters; Claire is a simple woman who's hard working and independent. Jason is sweet, successful and oh so sexy, together they just make a perfect pair.
This love story might have some common plots to it but I love the characters, they're fun and Jason is described as such a hunk that I just end up falling in love with the book more. There might have some complications in their relationship but what relationship doesn't? They over come it and gets their happily ever after.
Also this book introduces two other important characters that will lead to the second book!
I'm the kind of person that has a lot to say especially about something I enjoy reading but I really don't want to spoil anything. All I could add to this is if you like some easy read that you will enjoy this one is the book for you, it's only 100 plus pages but every page is worthwhile.
From what I know this book is available in Barnes & Nobles and Amazon.
Warning: This book has some pretty steamy scenes that are maybe too graphic or detailed for a regular romance novel.
