Love. It can be the easiest and the hardest thing of our lives. Falling in love will be the easiest thing to do, yet falling out of love will be the hardest. Love is related to so many things in our lives, falling in love, falling out of love, marriage, boyfriends, girlfriends, fiancés, but most of all, happiness. Falling in love is like jumping of a bridge, you throw your self into it, not getting a chance to rethink it all while your falling. It is thrilling and amazing, a rush. Falling out of love is like when you hit the water, you feel the pain when your sensitive feet hit the water, wishing will all your heart that you could do it again. So I wonder why? Why do we wish for love to come to us all, why is love so important? If love in the end hurts us all, why do we wish for it? But that’s the thing about love, eventually we all find a love that lasts, a love that is always the free fall, not the landing. This love equals marriage. Now we all know that some marriages don’t last forever, that is quite true. So then again we question love. Yes, some marriages end in divorce, but love was there at one point. So they jumped to early, fell to fast, land to hard. Marriage to me is the single most incredible and reliable bond between two people besides the bond between parent and child. Luckily, the bond of marriage usually results in the bond of parenthood. So when do we know that we are ready for marriage? The answer is obvious, when you find the love of your life. The love of your life, how can you tell the difference between the love of your life and a love in your life? Well we will never know, that is the fun of the fall. In the beginning you fall together, but in my mind it is different. I believe that you fall alone, and just as you are about to hit the water your love is there to catch you. That to me is true love, when you don’t need someone to be there, yet they’re always there for you. As we grow older love is a more important factor in our lives, it can be the thing that keeps you standing through a storm. Love is not the emotion you feel for a person but love is the person. Now the question that is nagging you, what is love, how do you know when you have found it? I ask myself this question everyday, and as of now I do not know. I do know one thing though, love is gracious, love is kind, love is rough, love is scary, love is thrilling, love is painful, love is reliable, love is valuable, and love is happiness.
