Valentine's day contest!
So, I was homesick earlier on and when watching Valentine's Day, I thought it would be perfect to make a contest based on valentine's day. It's such a lovely holiday, and though everyone still goes to school/work, it is STILL a holiday. There will be some pictures to loosely guide you, you can use them as pictures for your piece, but if you don't see one that you like, just link me in the comment section or post something on my profile. I will most likely approve everything, but I'd like to see what photo you'll be using. I know a lot of writing contests have been circling around, but I hope you guys can still come around and write something (:
1.Must be romance, sorry! I know some of you prefer other writing, but for a Valentine's contest, I think romance would be the most appropriate choice. Oh, and no erotica/gay/lesbian, sorry! It just makes me uncomfortable reading it.
2.The length doesn't really bother me, as long as you finish by the deadline! Though I do prefer short stories, I will read a novel as well, no matter how long. But sorry, no poems! And no, the length of your piece will not change your results.
3. I'm going to be judging on spelling, grammar, and plot. But, if the story is incredible but has grammar mistakes, I may look past them and such.
Feel free to use any of these photos!
Now, I know what you're all thinking. What are the prizes?
Second runner up (third place) :
I will read all of your works and comment on my favourite three, I will fan you, you will be a main character in my next short story, and your name will be on my profile for one week.
First runner up (second place):
I will read all of your works and comment on my favourite 5, I will fan you, you will be a supporting character in my next novel, and your name will be on my profile for 2 weeks.
I will read all your works and comment on all of them, I will fan you, you will be a lead character in my next novel, and your name will be on my profile for one month.
So, when's the deadline to this contest? February 14th, but at the same time, if you think more time should be given, I can always bump it down to the end of February.
