Chapter One - Meeting the Desmond Brothers
There was a glow off the pavement as the moon fully shined in the sky. The clouds were drifting over, making it a bit eerie. I was beginning to feel nervous as I looked up at the castle like house, which I would now be living in. The build was really spooky, like those old haunted houses that people would go into just to see if there were ghosts.
I honk my car for someone to open the large iron gate, and a few seconds later the gate squeaks open slowly. Hesitantly, I drive up the long driveway, gritting my teeth. I park right in front and get out looking at the two wooden doors. The designs had these weird swirls starting from the middle down, and the upper half had a symbol, like a cross with more swirly designs drawing out. Just as my attention was on the design, the doors creek open slightly, making me jump.
Was it that hard to come out and greet your own niece? Yup, I was going to live with my uncle from now on. The reason? Well, my parents suddenly seemed to disappear without a trace. It felt like they abandoned me, but after I saw my house trashed with blood all over, someone had to have took my parents. I was still not use to the fact that they are gone now, so whoever took them, I was going to kill them with my own two hands.
I make my way cautiously into the house, the foyer was vast. The stairs were off to the side wall, instead of the middle, like most mansions. A red carpet went down into a long hall way. There were dead plants placed around the room. Old paintings hung on the walls with cobwebs sticking on to them. A beautiful chandelier hung above me as I made my way to the center of the floor. This was unacceptable, cause I was not living in this filth. I wasn't a neat freak but this place was dirty.
" well, well, aren't you a beauty?" a voice said from above, with a grin.
I look up to where a gorgeous guy leaned against the railing at the top of the stairs. He had dark brown hair that was probably held up with hair gel. I couldn't see the color of his eyes because of the dim light. His pale skin was flawless. He had a strong and tall looking build. How should I put this? He was hot.
Before I could respond, a breeze past and another voice spoke, behind me, " she smells nice too."
I turned around frantically and saw a guy that looked just like the other, except his hair was more lighter and shorter. His eyes were a light Caribbean blue but looked rare. Same body build too.
" you guys are going to scare her," another voice said off to the side.
He stood at the door way of a room, resting his hand on the frame, with a genuine smile. This guy had longer sandy blond hair, a little taller, and had a more cute face then the other two.
I was confused, Uncle Desmond never told me about these guys. Just a few seconds later another voice.
" who is she?" the guy growled, his black hair just above his eyes, and short in the back. Those grey/blue eyes coldly staring back at me, which made me shiver a bit. He looked as if he was the alpha of everyone else, yet another reason to make me feel uneasy. And yet he was equally gorgeous as the others.
" did you forget? she's Desmond's niece, remember? her parents vanished, and now she's living with us," the first guy said.
" whatever," he replied with coldness, and walked away, back where he came from.
" that's Derek, don't bother with him, he's been in a bad mood all month," the third guy remarked," by the way, I'm Daniel."
" I'm Darren," the first guy smiled, coming down the stairs now.
" and my names Daryl," the second guy said, and lightly brought my hand to his lips.
" I-I'm Laine," I stuttered.
