I got out of the taxi, wearing my most flattering dress and flats. He told me to meet him here at the park, "Thank you." I paid the taxi driver and proceeded to the middle of the park. While I wait for him to get here, let me tell you about myself. My name is Amerah Goodwick, 24 years old and sorry guys, in a relationship. I'm blond, and have three other sisters. Lysette is the youngest out of us; she's 17 and will be soon going to UCLA. Laura is out on her own already, working as a lawyer over in Burbank. And then there's Vanessa, she looks way different than us, so she's like the odd duck. You see, we're all blond, have a light to moderate skin tone, and have green eyes. Vanessa, however, is tan, has brown eyes, and straight black hair. Mom didn't cheat though, dad has dark hair too. Vanessa is the oldest. Mom's name is Minka and dad's name is Donovan. Mom has blond hair and green eyes; dad has brown hair and brown eyes.
We live in Los Angeles, in a two story Spanish style house. My boyfriend is Brent Lucas. A handsome brunette with adorable brown eyes and a nice tan. He's the ultimate dream guy. We met back two years ago in a coffee house. I was a barista, he was a new worker, one thing led to a date, and we've been together since. And as I stand here in the park, wearing my favorite pink dress and flats, my hair tied back, and wearing the necklace he gave me, I just know tonight will be a good night.
I heard footsteps and there he is. He came walking over, rubbing the back of his neck like he does when he's nervous. I smiled at him, my heart leaped and my mind clouded over with love," Hi Brent!" I shouted happily," What did you want to see me for? Another date?" I chuckled, of course jokingly. To tell you the truth, I hoped he was going to ask me to marry him. I would so say yes!
" Uh, hey, Amerah," he had responded," Listen, I need to say this to you and, I don't want you to freak out on me or anything."
" Okay, what is it?" I asked, a little afraid that my heart thumped in my ears.
"I… think we should not see each other anymore," he said to me. Yes, there it was. I should've known why he was acting so nervous. I felt speechless, I didn't know whether to feel hurt or relief or… or, something.
"But… why?" I asked.
"We just need to, okay," he looked at me," so please don't act overdramatic over this. Bye Amerah." And he turned away, leaving me alone. I stood there, shocked. I so badly wanted to yell or scream at him, but I just couldn't do it. I turned away and began walking back to the waiting cab. Welp gentlemen, I'm single again.
