Prologue: Into the Ocean...Blue October
I was standing in the ocean. Sand under my feet. Waves crashing around my bare legs. The sky was dark and freckled with stars. I felt completely at peace in that moment. I could hear the sound of the water and the wind blowing through my elbow length, ash blonde hair. I took a deep breathe. Breathing in the smells and air of the salty ocean water. I couldn't remember why I was there, but it didn't matter. I was so at ease that I just didn't find it important to remember why I was standing in this blissful place. I'm not sure how long I stood there, it felt like hours.
I finally looked back at the beach. It was empty but for my sandals and sweatshirt. I sighed before turning and walking to my things. I picked them up and headed towards my house. It wasn't far from the beach, which was nice. When I opened the door and stepped into the silent, dark house I sighed. Of course she wasn't home. My mother was never home. She was out with her latest 'boyfriend'. I was sure. I didn't bother turning the lights on. I just headed towards the back of the small cabin to my bedroom. I flipped on the light and took in my room. Deep purple walls, light hardwood floors, a couple shag rugs, a full sized canopy bed draped in more deep purple, a chair, and a dresser. I walked to the dresser and grabbed a long shirt and changed into it before lying on my bed and curling up in the comforter. I quickly fell asleep.
I was standing in a small room. I could see my mom sitting in a blue chair not far from where I was standing. My mom was crying. I wanted to comfort her but couldn't bring myself to move or speak.
I woke up sweating and feeling confused. I looked around and realized I was in my room. I breathed a long sigh of relief before deciding to get up.
So, this is my first story on Booksie...let me know what you think and if I should continue :)
Chapter One-Satellite Heart...Anya Marina
I got up and looked around at the clock. It wasn't even five thirty in the morning. I sighed and got up knowing I wasn't going to be able to sleep after that dream. I walked downstairs and my mom still wasn't home. This wasn't unusual so I didn't think anything of it. I walked to the kitchen and grabbed a Pepsi. Pop is like my coffee.
After I had drunk my pop I headed back to my room to shower and get dressed. After I showered I threw on some faded comfy jeans and a plain black tank. I towel dried my hair and threw on some mascara. I stood there and took in my appearance; I had left my long blonde hair in its naturally spirally curly state. It looked decent enough. My big chocolate brown eyes peeked out through my thick mascara. I love my eyes so I smiled at that. Then I looked at my small, straight nose and perfectly shaped pouty lips. I sighed and turned the light off as I walked out of my bathroom. I picked up my cell and found Chase's name pushing call.
"Hey, beautiful. What's up?" he answered as usual.
"Oh, nothin'. Wanna come over?" I asked sounding bored. Which I was.
"Of course. Be there soon." he said happily.
Chase is my best friend. He's lived two houses down from me since we moved here when I was two. He's really great. And we hit it off instantly, I guess. At least that's what my mom says. He's also unbelievably handsome. I'm talking breath takingly. All the girls at school are gaga for him. He has chocolate brown shaggy hair, bright blue eyes, perfectly chiseled features, and let's not forget to mention that his body is that of a Greek god. I love him to death, and we spend just about every second together.
"Honey I'm home!" I heard him yell from down the hall. I laughed and headed down to greet him. He looked exceptionally handsome today, with a tight white t-shirt and light faded jeans and converse tennis shoes. I smiled at him and ran over throwing my arms around his neck. He laughed into my hair and I grabbed his hand leading him to my room. "I brought the new Nightmare on Elm Street." he said grinning. I love scary movies so I grinned back at him.
"Put it in!" I said excitedly. He chuckled a little under his breath and started putting it in my DVD player. While he was doing that I walked to the kitchen and started some kettle corn and grabbed two cans of Pepsi. When the popcorn was done I took it and the pop back to my room. Chase was lying on the bed with his hands behind his head. He looked at me and smiled. I almost dropped the bowl of popcorn when my heart skipped a beat at his smile. Mentally cursing myself and shaking my head I walked over and sat next to him on the bed. I'd never reacted to him like that. I figured I was just tired and decided to shake it off. We watched the movie in silence.
When it was over I stretched and closed my eyes. I was tired after all. I opened them to the sight of Chase looking at me with a grin, chuckling under his breath. "Do you want me to stay here tonight, or go home?" he asked still smiling.
We've been having sleepovers since we were six so this was nothing new. "Stay." I said sighing and closing my eyes again.
