Okay, so I have gotten a few comments that have cut on this
story. If you are about to read this and you don't like this,
well, simple problem solved. DONT COMMENT ON MY STORY! Seriously,
I don't want to read or even see harsh comments on my novels
because then it will just make me want to quit writing. So like I
said... If you are about to read this and you don't like the way
this story is going, don't read the rest and don't comment.
Yes, I do look for critism but not harsh critism. I want it on how I can make my story better (eg. grammar and the way my sentences are put).
That's all. Carry on.
Walking into the school was always hell. Shit getting thrown at me, names getting thrown at me and everything else you can think of. Sigh. I quickly made my way to my locker dodging the popular kids hoping, praying that they didn't see me. I quickly put in the numbers to unlock my locker.
5. 10. 8. 1.
I heard it unlock and I pulled it open. I swapped my bag for my book and text books. I slammed the locker shut and made my way to my first class of the day. I just prayed that it would go smoothly for me. But I would be hoping wrong, again. As I made my way to my first class I found myself on the floor. Great. I pushed myself up and saw who was laughing at me. My hand pushed my glasses up as everyone who saw me get tripped laughed. No one helping me up. I quickly grabbed my books and text books and made a run for the bathroom.
Don't cry. Whatever you do. Do not cry and show weakness.
I made it to the bathrooms just in time for the tears to start falling down my face like a water fall. I didn't want to be here and I was glad that today was the last day of the year but I was also scared of what I had in store for me next year. Only one year of this crap and I will be able to move away from Brooke Waters for good. There had been plenty of times where I would be sitting in this bathroom stall crying until my eyes were red and puffy. Normally someone would see me and call me a stoner. I never in my life put drugs near my mouth or in my body.
"Excuse me?" I heard someone say, "Are you okay in there?"
I frowned. Who would be asking me, the school's biggest nerd, if I was okay. I got up after wiping my eyes with some toilet paper and unlocked the door. I came face to face with a really beautiful girl. She is way prettier than I could ever be. She has dark olive skin, deep chocolate eyes and dark brown hair that flowed around her face and shoulders. She smiled kindly at me.
"Are you okay?" She asked again.
"Um, yeah I am fine." I said with the best smile I could give.
"Sweetheart, you are not fine. You have been crying, do you wanna talk about it?"
"There really isn't anything to talk about."
"My name is Rosalyn Miller. You are?"
"The school's nerd Charlotte-Rose Steele."
"Is that why you are crying?"
"No it's not that. I got tripped up and laughed at."
"WHAT? By who?"
"Probably Sterling Gregory or Kelly Roland."
"Who are they?"
"They are the popular kids. Pretty nasty people if you ask me."
"Oh. Can you show me who they are? I think it's almost lunch time?"
I looked at my watch and sighed. Great, lunch. Something I dread every day here. It would be time for me to either have a face full of food or something they can get their hands on thrown at me. I looked at Rosalyn and nodded. She smiled and hooked her arm in mine. She dragged me out of the bathrooms and asked me where the lunch hall was.
How new was she here? Maybe she started to day?
We walked into the lunch hall and I pointed at them, she told me to stay put. I did as I was told and watched her walk over to the popular table.
She has got some massive lady balls.
I saw her start talking to them and she pointed at me. They nodded at her. I didn't know what she was saying to them but they looked bored with whatever speech she was going on about. The next thing I know Sterling Gregory had his food placed on his head and Kelly Roland had a bright red drink poured over her beautiful brown hair. A little laugh escaped my lips as Rosalyn stood back up and crossed her arms.
"What the hell!? You stupid bitch! You will pay for this!" Sterling yelled at her.
I saw Rosalyn laugh in his face before turning around and walking over to me. She grabbed my arm without looking back and we walked out of the school.
"We are giving you a serious make-over, sweetheart. You will need it for what I have got in mind." She said.
"What? I-I…" I started to think of an excuse on not getting a makeover.
"Oh no way. You need it."
"But we only just met." Gosh, sounding like a dickhead.
"So, I don't care. You're a nice girl and I like you. We are going to become very good friends." She smiled.
I SAT IN THE HAIR DRESSER'S CHAIR WAITING FOR EVERYTHING TO START.
I didn't know what I was in for but I was nervous as all hell. I didn't know what I would look like and I didn't know why I have let myself go into this. I was pretty sure I could go through another year of hell. Wait, maybe not. Rosalyn and the hair dresser came back with massive smiles. Rosalyn covered the mirror and I sucked in a deep breath.
I looked at Rosalyn and she told me not to worry everything is going to work out fine and I would look stunning at the end of it all. For some strange reason, I knew I could trust her.
THREE HOURS LATER, WE WERE FINALLY DONE.
Rosalyn looked at me with a massive smile that matched the hair dresser's smile. They had cut and died my hair, did my make-up, gave me acrylic nails and even put contacts in my eyes.
"Ready for this?" Rosalyn asked.
"As ready as I will ever be." I smiled.
"Alright, count of three."
Rosalyn removed the cover from the mirror and I felt myself step back once. I touched my face softly and my hair. I didn't even recognize myself. I stared at the girl in the mirror. She had bright, pretty eyes that weren't cover by glasses, pale pink full lips and light brown hair that had been straighten instead of pulled up into a ponytail or a bun or sitting messily on my head. I looked over at Rosalyn who was smiling brightly at me. I couldn't help but let my smile match hers. It was the nicest thing anyone had done for me. I didn't know what was planned for me after all this but I was pretty excited for it.
"Next stop…" Rosalyn looked at the hair dresser and then me again, "Shopping!"
"Wait, I don't have money to go shop." I panicked.
"Oh sweetheart, don't worry I do."
"You already did this for me, I cannot let you buy me clothes and everything else."
"Don't worry. I want too."
"Are you loaded or something?"
"You know the company Umbrella?"
"Yeah. Who doesn't?"
"Yeah, well my dad kind of owns it."
"Ha! Yeah! So, it's okay if I spend money to help a friend."
"Why are you at Brooke Waters High when you could go to the most best schools around?"
"Because I hate stuck up bitches and guys who think they are all that with their six packs and shit."
"Oh okay." I smiled widely.
"So, come on. Let's get shopping."
I nodded and followed her out the hair dressers after thanking the hair dresser ten thousand times.
WE PULLED UP TO ROSALYN'S HOUSE OR SHOULD I SAY CASTLE?
It was amazing. It was made of white stone with gardens out the front of it. And a path way to the front steps made of loose stones. It is a really pretty house. Rosalyn opened the door and shouted that she was home. There was a massive staircase in front of me, white tiles that I stood awkwardly on, an entry way to both my left and right. I heard high heels coming towards us and a lady with brown hair like Rosalyn's and the same eyes came into view. She is really beautiful and I felt out of place in a big, beautiful house standing next to two beautiful people. I started linking and unlinking my fingers together since I did that as a nervous habit.
"Mum, this is Charlotte-Rose Steele. Charlotte, this is my mother, Christine Miller. But you can call her Mum if you want." Rosalyn smiled.
"It's lovely to meet you Charlotte-Rose." Christine said.
"You can call me Charlotte or Charlie and it is a pleasure to meet you too ma'am." I replied.
"Please, just call me Christine or Mum." She smiled, "Are you staying for dinner?"
"Oh no, I have to be home soon."
"Well, you will have to come for dinner another time." Christine smiled as I nodded a little to eager, "What did you get up to today, Rose?"
"Gave Charlie a make-over, brought her a whole new wardrobe. And kind of poured a drink over a girl's head and put food in a guy's face."
"Rosalyn!" Her mother gasped.
"HEY! They tripped up Charlotte." Rosalyn defended herself.
"Oh, what nasty pieces of work." Christine looked at me, "Are you okay?"
"Oh yeah. I am fine now." I smiled.
"That is good. Well, I have to head out. Make yourself at home Charlotte and I will see you when you come over next. It was really nice to meet you and to see that Rosalyn has made a friend." Christine said.
She gave Rosalyn a kiss on the forehead and walked out the door. Rosalyn smiled before grabbing my hand and leading me up the mountain of stairs. We then went to the left when we got to the top and entered a room that was really girly compared to mine. A four-post king size bed sat in the middle of the room up against the wall with pink covers and white pillows with a black teddy bear sitting in the middle of the mountains of pillows, two bed side drawers - the left side had a pink and white lamp with a photo sitting near it, on the right there was two other photos with another pink and white lamp next to them - I looked around the room to see a book shelf filled up with different books and on the top shelf was more photos and some little girly statues of fairies, dogs and cats. I looked over the other side to see three doors. One was by itself and the other two sat together making me think that one was a closet and the other was to lead to a bathroom.
"You have a really nice room." I said to Rosalyn.
"I guess so." She smiled.
"Does pink happen to be your favourite colour?" I asked.
"Nothing gives it away." She laughed, "Alright, I want to get your thoughts on something."
"What do you think of when you go back to school next year that we play a little game with the popular kids?"
"Um, I like the sound of it." I smiled.
"We shall call it 'Play The Popular Kids Like Puppets' yeah?"
"Alright, you will have to harden up and start playing their game. Now, that you look really different they will never know."
"Next year is going to be a good one and they will never forget it. Bring on 2012."
I smiled at Rosalyn as we shook hands on what is going to go down next year for the bullies. I didn't know if I would be able to last longer than a week but I am going to give it my all and they shalt not know what has hit them. Maybe I could make Sterling fall for me and drop his ass like a potatoe sack. Like Rosalyn said.
Bring on twenty-twelve.
