CHAPTER 1 *Jennifer's POV* It's been a while since the new boy in first period came. It was creepy at first since all he did was stare at me. Now, we're friends, but unfortunately for me, my boyfriend hates him. That's why there's Derek times and Jason times. Jason is my boyfriend and he hates Derek to the point of killing him. I insisted that Derek and I were just friends, and that's how it was. At least until this morning after 1st period. I was walking down the hallway, talking to Jason while on my way to 2nd period. "I'm serious, Jason. You don't have to walk me to class if it makes you late to your classes." I said, for the billionths time. Jason just looked at me and smirked. "I told you, it doesn't matter. I don't care if I get in trouble for being late all the time, it's worth it." Jason said, smiling at me. I made a pleading face and he sighed. "Fine, I'll go. See you after class." Jason said, starting to walk away. I watched him to make sure he was really going to class when I saw Derek push through the crowd of people and run towards me. I just stood there, assuming he was Just coming to say hi, but that didn't happen. Derek ran up to me, wrapping an arm around my shoulders and said "I love you." To me, brushing my ear lightly with his lips. I froze and turned around. To my horror, Jason was still there. Judging by the angry look on his face, he heard. I gulped. Jason gets really dangerous when he's mad. He walked towards Derek with a killer look on his face. I noticed that everyone in the hallway had disappeared. Everyone except for me, Derek, and Jason. I turned back to the two boys. 'Shit!' I thought, seeing all the punches and kicks the two were throwing at each other. Looking more closely, I saw Jason's nose bleeding. But it wasn't as bad as the waterfall of blood coming out of Derek's mouth.
