Holli Dewitt grabbed the hot pink and black bikini off of the rack, as her twin sister, Lauren Dewitt, grabbed the same color bikini. They changed and came out of the dressing room and stared at each other. “What! You cannot have the same bikini as me!” they exclaimed together. “I’ll get a different one. No, I will. Fine, we’ll both get a different one.”
Holli ran over and got a pink camouflage bikini. She tried it on and it fit perfectly. Lauren grabbed a camouflage bikini and tried it on. They came out of the dressing room and posed for each other exclaiming, “Perfect!”

After they had purchased their bikinis, they went out to their cars. Holli glanced at her watch. “Crap!” she muttered.
“What’s wrong?” Lauren asked.
“I was supposed to meet Derek a half an hour ago.”
“He’ll get over it. He always does,” Lauren added smiling.
“Yeah, hopefully.” Holli jumped into her pink mustang convertible and waved at Lauren, as Holli sped out of the parking lot. She pushed the speed limit as much as she could, without breaking the law outright. She pulled into ICY’s and glanced at the clock. Only five minutes had passed.
She carelessly walked into ICY’s then froze. Her supposed best friend, Rebecca, was making out with Derek. Holli schooled her features and marched over to Derek and Becca’s table. She tapped Derek’s shoulder, and he whipped around. “What do you w-oh, hi Holli-dolly.”
“You are the biggest jerk I’ve ever met. And you,” she said turning towards Rebecca, “how could you?! He’s my boyfriend. I never want to see either of you again!” Holli said storming out of ICY’s and smacked into someone. She fell on her stomach on the person she had run into. She looked down into the deepest chocolate brown eyes that she’d ever seen. She got lost in his eyes, until he cleared his throat. “Oh, I’m so sorry. My boyfriend just cheated on me with my best friend; well I guess he’s my ex-boyfriend now. I guess I was preoccupied. Are you okay? Did I hurt you? Are you gonna sue?” Holli asked rambling.
“It’s okay. I’m fine. You didn’t hurt me, and, no, I’m not going to sue you,” he said smiling at her rambling. “By the way, I’m Joshua McArthur.”
“Holli Dewitt.”
“Well, it’s nice to meet you, Holli.”
“Nice to meet you too, Josh.”

Lauren sat alone on the couch. She was “babysitting” Cameron and Kevin while Holli was out with Derek, if you could call it babysitting. They were up in their room playing some video game that she had never heard of, and she was channel surfing. As usual, there was nothing on TV. Eventually, she put on a movie that she had seen before and started thinking about Holli. Lauren knew that Derek was a loser. No matter what she told her sister, though, she kept on believing that he was the greatest guy in the world. Lauren wasn’t sure what Holli saw in Derek and hoped she would eventually see his faults. She really didn’t want a jerk like him for a brother-in-law. At the rate they were going though, Lauren thought that’s exactly what she would get.

“I feel horrible about running into you.”
“Well, if I had the time, I’d invite you for ice cream.”
“Then you’ll just have to make it up to me later.”
“How’s tomorrow?”
Holli stood in stunned silence for a second. I didn’t think he was serious. Well, he is cute! Slow down, girl. You just dumped Der.
“Holli?”
“Huh? Oh! Sorry, um…I’d like that.”
“Cool,” he started to turn away, so she headed for her car. He whipped around and grabbed her arm. “Um…do you think you can get a date for my brother?”
“How old is he?”
“Eighteen.”
“Yeah, probably.”
“Cool, see you tomorrow around five forty-five.”
“’Kay.”
Lauren’s gonna kill me!
“You what?!”
“Calm down, Lauren. I really think I could like this guy. Do it for me. Please?” Holli pleaded with her twin.
“I can’t believe you’d set me up with a guy you’ve never even met.” After a pause, she added, “He better be cute.”
“Does that mean you’ll come?”
“Yes,” she said sighing, “but only because I know if I don’t I’ll never hear the end of it.”
Holli laughed as she said, “I don’t care why you’re coming, as long as you’re coming. And believe me, if he looks anything like Josh, you’ll like him.”
“I hope so,” Lauren grumbled under her breath, “for your sake.”
“You’re so awesome,” Holli said throwing her arms around Lauren. “You won’t be sorry.”
