"Harold!" I gasped running my fingers over the smooth paint.
"What, Sweetheart? I know you need one." I looked at him putting my hands on my hips.
"Just 'cause I need one doesn't mean you need to buy it." He smiled at me. I smacked him. "I'm serious!"
"Oh hush Carson! Enjoy your gift." He laughed hugging me again. "I love you." I sighed.
"I love you too." He kissed my head.
"I have to get going. I need to catch a flight to Dallas." I nodded.
"Call soon?" He let go of me.
"I will. Tell your parents I said I hi. Kiss JJ for me." I pouted at him. "What?"
"I wish you didn't have to go so soon." He pulled me in for a tight hug again.
"I know but I'll be back soon." I nodded.
"Okay." He opened the door for me.
"Be careful Car; send me pictures of the little baby growing." I smiled at him wiping my eyes.
"I love you, Harold." He smiled.
"I love you too, Kid." I turned the car on smiling happily. I love mustangs! I drove home slowly taking in the feel of my new car. I pulled up next to the Edge in the driveway before walking in.
"How'd it go baby?" Dad said walking out of the kitchen holding JJ as he suckled on a bottle.
"Did you know he was getting it?" Dad shrugged winking.
"Maybe." He laughed. I shook my head. Of course.
"I'm going to sleep." I handed Mason the keys as he jumped up and down with his hands out. "Don't scratch it." I shook my head walking up the stairs. I showered quickly before curling up under my sheets. I felt movement on my legs before a doggy sigh and little snores. I felt my phone buzz.
**New Message** Tucker** Night Baby <3 I love you**
I smiled closing my eyes as my fingers moved over the keyboard typing back.
**To Tucker** Love you too. **
I fell asleep smiling just thinking what it'd be like when Tucker will sleep next to me at night, every night. I can't wait to have our baby…..
It's been awhile since I got the car. Saint was getting much bigger, just like my belly bump. It was only a couple weeks till Christmas, which meant only a couple weeks till we had another ultra sound. Then we get to see what our little baby is. It was late as I lay in bed watching TV as Saint lay next to me as my pillow. My phone buzzed next to me making Saint raise his head to look at me. "Hello?" I patted his head answering the phone.
"Hey Baby." I could hear the sleepy tone in Tucker's voice. "How was your day?"
"It was good. Just babysat JJ really. How was practice?" I yawned snuggled into my makeshift pillow.
"It was intense. Your Uncle is trying to kill us." I smiled closing my eyes.
"I guess that's what you have to do when your team is going into the playoffs." He sighed.
"I guess you're right. We are pretty good." I could hear the smile in his voice.
"We I can see Mr. Cocky is up." I giggled at him.
"No he isn't baby. It's too tired for that."
"Tucker!" I yelled making Saint look at me grunting.
"You asked." He smiled. I shook my head.
"That wasn't what I meant. You pervert." I snuggled back into Saint as he laid his head back down.
"I'm your pervert though." I closed my eyes giving him an 'hmmm' sound. "I was thinking that me and you should have a date tomorrow."
"That sounds great." I smiled turning the TV.
"Good. I have reservations at The Grill at 7 tomorrow." I yawned.
"Thanks for telling me in advance, Tucky."
"No problem, Love." I yawned.
"I love you, but I'm tired. Night."
"I love you too. G'night." He mumbled as I hung up my phone putting it on my nightstand, before falling into a deep sleep…..
"Come on, before we're late." Tucker smiled pulling at my hand. I shook my head at him.
"I'm coming, I'm coming." I smiled at him as he put his hand on the small of my back.
"I just want this to be perfect." He kissed my head playing with a curl in my hair.
"I thought this was just date. We always have them." I asked him my eyebrows coming together. He cleared his throat.
"Table under Brown." The lady looked up and nodded.
"Follow me." Tucker pulled me close to him as we walked through the restaurant. The Grill is a nice place, not the nicest like where Harold took me, but just a step down. I'm kind of wondering why Tucker took me here. We usually go to the diner and catch a movie. But a fancy dinner? Tucker pulled out my seat for me to sit down. I smiled at him sitting down taking a sip of my water that was put down. This pregnancy is making me hungry and thirsty. I don't mind though. If I get a baby at the end of this all, I'll be happy. Tucker smiled at me.
"You want mine?" He asked pick up the glass. I looked at it. "I don't mind." He handed it to me which I happily guzzled down.
"Thank you." I smiled put the half empty glass down. "So, why the change in heart?" He looked at me nervously.
"What do you mean?" He asked rubbing his thigh.
"I mean why aren't we just at the diner?" His face dropped.
"You don't like it here?" I shook my head.
"I do! I just, I don't want you to spend so much money on me." I looked at him from under my eyelashes. He smiled taking my hand from across the table.
"I like to spoil you though. You look beautiful in a dress." He smiled rubbing his thumb over my knuckles. "I love you so much, Carson." I smiled at him as he ran his thumb over my promise ring.
"I love you too. We're a family now. You, me, and the baby. We'll be happy together." He smiled at me nodding his nervousness clearing up. The waiter came over to take our order before leaving again. "Have you thought about college yet?" I asked as we were both brought over a salad.
"Your Uncle thinks I should wait to think about colleges till I get approached by scouts." I nodded.
"I know you have a couple in mind though." I laughed as he nodded.
"I do, but I just like them. I'm not sure if I really want to go to them. I think your Uncle's right."
"Tucker it's your choice where you go." He looked at me.
"What about you?" I smiled at him.
"Baby, we'd go where you go."
"Don't you want a choice in college?" I shrugged trying to find the words to tell him.
"I've been talking to Sarah. I don't know if I'm going to college. Maybe just work and raise the baby." I sighed. "I just don't even know what I want to do." He nodded.
"I understand Car. It's your choice." I smiled at him.
"We're going to follow you." The waiter took away our empty plates. Tucker gave me a nervous look. "Alright, what's wrong? Why are you so nervous?"
"I'm not nervous." He said quickly putting his hands into his pockets.
"Tucker." I said raising my eyebrow. He sighed.
"I can do this." He whispered to himself. "Baby, I love you." I looked at him confused.
"I love you too." He stood up and pulled a brown box out of his pocket.
"I can't believe it's been only a couple months. I love you so much. I want to spend the rest of my life with you and our baby." He got down on one knee opening the brown box. "Will you marry me? I already asked your Dad and Harold. So will you marry me?" I put my hand to my mouth as I started to cry.
"Yes." I cried nodding. "God yes." I hugged him close kissing him. "I love you Tucker." I cried as he pulled back to pull the ring from the box and slip it on my left hand.
"It looks beautiful." He whispered kissing me. "I love you." He kissed me hugging me.
"You really asked my Dad and Harold?" I asked as he lifted me onto the chair wiping my eyes.
"Yeah, I knew your family is really into traditions. So I asked him them both at Thanksgiving." I laughed.
"That's where you three went off to?" He nodded. "I love you." I laughed at him looking down at the beautiful ring on my ring.
"Nic and Dakota picked it out. They said you'd love it." I nodded.
"I so love it." I wiped my eyes again. "So everyone knew about this?" He nodded.
"I wanted it to be special. Is it?" He asked his eyes searching my face.
"Yeah, something I'll never forget." I said smiling at him. "It's perfect Tucker, perfect."
