“I keep my ideals, because in spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart.” –Anne Frank
I always knew people weren’t as bad as they showed themselves to be. That a heart is something you’re born with and it can’t be changed no matter the action, the plan, the pain. People hide behind the pain and agony they experience in their life, no matter how short it may be. But deep down, somewhere in the darkness there is that glimmer of light. The glimmer, the goodness in a world of hate. No matter how hard you may be, no matter the pain you may feel, no matter the hate that runs through your veins, there is a spot for the goodness of life. Innocence you can never loose. Something that is looked over by many.
People can’t see through the hate that clouds their vision. They see through the tunnel, missing the view above. They never take walk through the shadows to get to where they want to be. They don’t take a flash light to see through the darkness of your pain. They took the short cut in life. They didn’t stop to smell the flowers. They didn’t live. When you’ve been through the life you would never have the nightmare of seeing, but living you see the difference. You may always think the grass is greener on the other side of the fence, but it never is. You see that life is what you make of it.
No matter the pain you have been inflicted, no matter the fear that has been pressed to your head. No matter the sorrow of losing what you truly thought was never going to leave. But what life makes you see, what they truly are to be. I could see that till today. My life was finally here to stay. But as I watch my life go by, right before my own eyes, golden from every moment that was touched by you. Hate to say, but what I have been told since I was a little kid.
“Nothing gold can stay.”
