Kie and I left the play gym and headed over to the closest dealership. I smiled, he knew me so well. The sleezy salesman automatically came over to me and started his run around game when I put my hand up.
"Before you go any further I need to speak with Charise. Her and I have already spoken and she knows exactly what I want."
He huffed in annoyance. "I am afraid that Ms. Charise is still in training here and isn't ready to do her own sales. I will be more than happy to help you though. My name is Don by the way."
I nodded my head. "Don, well I will remember that when I get you written up for harrassment. I won't tell you again. I will only work with Charise on this, no ifs ands or buts about it."
Kieve started to laugh as he looked at me. I raised an eyebrow and he instantly stopped, but the smile just wouldn't go away. I huffed and just moved past the man.
He followed behind us like a lost puppy looking for a scrap of food, I didn't pay him any mind though. I threw open the doors of the dealership and saw a flurry of people come over to us. I looked up and smiled as I stared at her leaning on a desk with her head down smiling. I could see the faint movement of her shaking her head.
I moved through them all right over to her and put my hand out. "Hello Ms.Charise, we spoke on the phone a week ago. I had asked you to order the custom for me."
She nodded her head, took my hand, and slowly got off the corner of her desk. "Yes Mrs. Lake. So glad to see you. It came in yesterday, completely up to your specifications. I checked it over myself to make sure. Why don't you follow me to the back and I will show you the beautiful piece of work you ordered." She batted her lashes at me and it was everything I could do to not fall over into a fit of laughter. The gesture was completely alien to her. I figured while she was doing her undercover work, I might as well help her make some money on the side.
We followed her around to the back of the large building where it looked like all of the preorders were, but mine stood out from among the rest. I ran over to it and hugged it. Kieve started to chuckle as he came over to me, but I didn't care in the least.
"Looks like you found the one you want, didn't you?" I could hear a slight laugh in his voice.
I nodded wildly. "Good for work, play and the occasional long road trip. I must say she is a thing of beauty." I looked over at Cherry. "You said to my specifications, what did you mean?"
She giggled and looked at me. "I know you well my dear so after closing time I came in and made a few adjustments that would better suit you. You know, in case we ever run into one of those 'By the way I need your help' times that seem to pop up out of no where." She unlocked the truck and started to show several hidden compartments she had added in my new truck for my weapons, medical supplies and anything else I might have been thinking to hide.
I squealed in excitement and hugged her. She hugged me back and winked at me. "Wait, wait, that isn't all my dear." She opened up the drivers door and opened the soft cloth lining of the door just below the window to show a perfect resting place for my matching colt 9MMs. She showed us top of the line navigation and how she had loaded it with whatever she could think of that I might ever need.
I hugged her one more time. "Thank you, it is perfect. Just the way I was going to do it when I got home. I swear, I have some of the best friends on the planet to know me this well."
I looked over at Kieve as he rocked Talia and I laughed at his dumbfounded look. We all walked back inside as she started to draw up the paperwork. Kieve about had a fit when he saw the price, but swallowed his pride and wrote one big check so that Cherry could get her commision from the sale right away. I jumped up and down with excitement as we finished the last of the paperwork and I looked over at Kie and hugged him and Talia tightly.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. I love you so much. I know that was a lot of money and we are going to be shelling out a lot more here very soon. I know it took a lot for you to write that check and I just-" I lost my voice and hugged him again. He handed Talia to Cherry and spun me around.
"Sweetheart, if it makes you happy I would buy you all the diamonds in the world. I don't care about the price. Yes, I do have to admit, as a part of the male species it is hard to let go of that much money. Honey you are worth every bit of it and more. You and our children."
I smiled at him and pulled my head back a bit. "Why on earth would you buy me all the diamonds in the world when I have the brightest one holding me in his arms?"
He kissed me deeply again before he placed me on the ground. I thought for a moment before a loud laugh erupted from my body. "You know what this means don't you?" He looked at me for a moment like I was crazed. "We get the work truck back. Until their birthday they can use my car now that I have my truck."
Kieve let out a crazed laugh and smiled at me. "You are a devious woman, do you know that?"
I winked at him as we transferred Talia's carseat over into my truck. I smiled at Kieve and he frantically looked at his watch. "Honey, I have to go. I have to get ready for the auction tomorrow. We really need to get our hands on some good ones tomorrow."
I nodded my head. "Alright my dear. I am going to make a couple of stops for the twin's party and then I am going to head home."
Kie looked at me and sighed. He drudged over to me and got on his knees as he handed me the check book. "Go easy on the old girl alright."
I sighed. "I'll try but no promises. They only turn 18 once and then they get their own lives."
He nodded, got up and kissed me before he ran over to his truck and sped away.
"Ava and I are going to make this the best day ever for them."
