Once upon a time there was a girl who was in love with a boy, they lived in the same town and went to the same school. The girl's name was Kat, she was very pretty with her long sleek brown hair and her bright piercing blue eyes. Her skin the color of a pure white pearl. The boy did not know she loved him deeply, but he had the same feelings for this young beautiful girl. He had short, shaggy hair the color of deep, creamy chocolate and his eyes the color of a lime green crayon with a hint of gold. His body had been kissed my the sun and he was slim like a knight. They were great friends and they talked and talked and talked and always hung out. No one could tear them apart for a second, but they would soon find out that they could never be together. One dayKat noticed Lucas was not here at school again, he had been absent from schoolfor a week. She had tried texting and calling him, but know one would pickup, she decided to swing by his house after school. She knocked on the door, no one answered, she reached for the door knob and turned it,and walked inside. A shadow swept passed her, Kat stopped and turned to see who it was, when Lucas appeared right in front of her. Kat yelped in surprise, "Kat,I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you" Lucas said, Kat shook her head "it's okay." They stood their awkwardly, not knowing what to say, Kat finally spoke up "you were gone for a week and Tristan and I tried texting and calling you, but you wouldn't pick up, and I got worried" she blushed and looked away. Lucas smiled and took her hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze, when she looked up, she saw is caring, rich smile, she smiled back, Kat didn't want this moment to end. A loud knock came from the door, Lucas grunted and went to open the door. When he opened the door, Kat's eyes widened with fear as she tried to hold back a yelp, the person standing at the door was not just once were true love, but the one who broke it. "May I help you?" Lucas asked, the was slightly taller than Lucas, much more muscular, with tan skin like copper, with short black hair, and dark brown eyes. He looked at Lucas "Yes, I was wondering if........" he trailed off as he looked over the younger man's shoulder and saw Kat. "Katelyn, what are you doing here?" the stranger asked, Lucas looked back at Kat "you know this dude?" Kat nodded and walked over to the door. "Chris.... what are you doing here?" "I should be asking you the same question" Chris said in response. "Kat is on of my veryclose friends" Lucas said possessively, Chris shot him a glare, they glared at each other for awhile. "you guys go to the same school?" Chris asked, not taking his eyes off Lucas. Kat nodded, "well, Jay said you hadn't come home yet and so he called me to go look for you, do you need a ride?" Chris asked. Kat didn't want to go home and especially not with Chris, but she didn't want to get Chris and her in trouble, "uh, sure" Kat said goodbye and headed out with Chris. They rode in silence until Chris broke the silence "what were you doing at that guy's house?" Kat didn't want to talk at all, but he would bug her until she answered him. "He's one of my best friends and he was gone for awhile so I went to go see if he was okay. Chris glanced at her, they rode the rest of the way in silence, when Kat went to open the car door after Chris pulled up to her house he stopped her. "What the heck" Kat said, "what were you really doing there at his house?" Chris said, his voice stern and his eyes with a hint of anger in them. Kat jerked her hand away "why do you care?" her cheeks flushed with anger. Chris lowered his eyes "that's what I thought" Kat said as she left the car, anger filled her, he had no right to get involved with her business. As she walked in the house, there were boxes every where, her mom, two brothers, and her mom's boyfriend moved to a new house. It was one story and yellow with a white roof, there were two entrances to the kitchen and the dinning room was connected to the living room. She loved her new house, she had her own bedroom and a huge a backyard, Kat plopped onto the couch as her mother walked in. "How was school?" her mother asked, Kat smiled "It was good" a yawn escaped her mouth, her mom turned to look at the clock "you should probably finish your homework and head off to bed" Kat nodded and headed off to her room. After a few hours she finally was done with everything, she climbed into bed, pulled the covers over her and drifted off into what felt like an endless sleep.
