Boss's Love Battle

They were on the plane with a few other people from the company. She was glad Stacey was going with her. Ava sat by her and felt asleep. She was so tired. Paterson glanced in her direction. Stacey noticed that he was watching her. She wasn't the only on too. There was another guy who also notices it too. Then the guy looked at Stacey. They way he looked at her made her shivered up inside. He gave her the creep. He looked even better then the other guys she seen yesterday. Stacey shook Ava to wake her up.

"Nooo! A little more sleeps, please." Ava groaned softly.

"Ava, I would rather have you up. Cause you have some people watching you sleep." Stacey whispered low so no one can here them talk. Ava opened one eye.

"Who?" she asked.

"That guy over and Mr. McDoward."

Ava groaned inwardly. This was going to be an awkward business trip. Stacey eyebrow lifted.

"Is there something I'm missing here?" Stacey continues to whisper. Ava sighed.

"Paterson asked me out and that guy over is the one who actually own the company. The one who was at the office is his younger brother and cousin. His name is Lucas James Clarkson. That who I really work for and I hate him just as much as he hates me. I know I'm going to get fired from this job sooner or later." Ava whispered back with a little angry. She tries to calm down but it was helping when her thoughts lingered to incident that happen earlier when he came and pick her up. Her hands ball up into a fist.

"Wow. What the hell happen? It only has been one day!" Stacey almost shouted.

"Shhh! Girl, not so loud!” Ava hissed and smacked her on the head. They notice other people staring at them. "I'm going to the bathroom. I need to calm myself." Ava got up and headed to the back where the bathrooms were. She open the door and went inside and was about to close it when someone took a hold of the door.

“Why you look so angry?” someone asked her. It was Godfred from the third floor where she use work before moving up to the fifth floor when she started with the company. He was tall, wears glasses, reddish brown hair, in his mid-thirty and pale white skin. He looked like he can play a part in a movie as a vampire. No one really liked him that much, because he thinks he was better than everyone there. He tried to feel on every woman in the building and he gets away with it too. “It’s been a while since I seen you. You know this is the first time they ever take a few assistant with them on a trip. This probably going to be one of the big cases-” He went on and on and on. Now Ava really got to go. She began to tap her.

“Um...” Ava started to say but he wasn’t listening.

“-and you know this going to be a great opportunity for most of us who most up in the business world. You know I’ve been meaning to ask you if you were seeing someone because I want to take-”

“Yes, I’m-”

“Oh, good. When we’re in town we-” he cut her off.

“No, I hav-”

“No but you just said yes. I thou-”

“Yes, I did-”

“Okay then its settle. We have a-” he continue. Ava was getting very angry now. There were people waiting to going to the bathroom behind him. She was trying to close the door but it wasn’t closing.

“NO! No date! No going out! I got a boyfriend! I need to use the damn BATHROOM! Move your freaking feet now!” Ava boomed. She breathes in and out because she ready to pound the guy. Godfred’s eyes popped on. He still had his foot against the door until Ava pushed him back causing him to bump into one of the flight attendants walking by with a tray of goodies on them. Ava slammed the door shut.

“Amen!” someone whispered in the back of the line.

After they land, there was a car waiting for them. It took them to beautiful hotel. It was one of the Hilton hotels. Ava’s room was on the tenth floor next to Lucas room. Paterson was on the same as them too. There were other companies too. Apparently, the people who own Kelly’s Project wasn’t only talking to them but they been talking to other competitors. The company seems to make it big now their other company who want to have them apart of their companies to expand further.

The first meeting was around 8:30am and the second one was around 10:00am. They finished around 7:00pm. Michael Tech got the project. They offer them 14.5 billion dollars. There were some few other companies that were there that wanted to show their project too. Most of them were going to give their presentation tomorrow. They had the rest of the afternoon off.

Ava notice Godfred looking around she quickly slip out of the conference room. She headed to the elevator. Ava was pressing the buttons several times willing the elevator to open up.

“C’mon, C’mon! Open up. Open up! C’m-”

“What the rushed?” Paterson whispered from behind her. Ava squeaked a little bit. She felt every hair on her body stood at one end when he did that. Ava hand when to her heart. She turned around to face him.

“You didn’t have to sneak up on me like that. By the way I just wanted to go to my room and refreshing up a little before I go out. Since we have some free time this evening Stacey and I are going to check the town out and- Wait why am I telling you this?” Ava asked as the elevator open.

“Cool. Maybe you want me to tag along. I see you trying to avoid Godfred.” Paterson giggled a little bit. Ava stared at him as she headed inside the elevator. She never heard him giggle before. Godfred noticed her and ran toward the elevator and jump in before it close. Ava move closer to Paterson and she felt a presence behind boring into her back. She looked at the corner of her eyes and notices Lucas stand behind her through the mirror in the elevators. Oh great! That just great! This evening couldn’t get any weirder.

“So, Ms. Ling wh-” Godfred started to ask her but she answered right away.

“I am going somewhere with Stacey, Dilly, Mindra, Kelly and David.” Ava replied.

“Oh. Where are y’all going?” Godfred asked.

“David knows this pub around here he said is nice and classy. We’re going to check it out.”

“Oh, that sounds interesting. Count me in.” The word words were out of Lucas mouth before he realizes it was him who spoke those words. Ava, Paterson and Godfred glance at him. They were in shock. Paterson knows that Lucas don’t normally socialize with his employees and this was a first.

“It’s time I start spending some time with my employees and see what going with each of you.” He said with a smiled.

“I’m coming too.” Paterson said giving Lucas a weird look.

“Well, I guess I’m going too. This is going to be fun. Let me go grab my things.” Godfred said getting out of the elevator. When they reach to their floor, Ava quickly headed to her room and changed her clothes quickly. She put on her stretch five-pocket low-rise denim boot cut with heavy creases, broken-stitch back pockets and removable double stud belt and Leopard print tank enhanced with a rhinestone embellished buckle at the empire waistline. She washed her face and applied light make up on. She hopes David and the rest of them were downstairs already.

She didn’t want any of them to come. She most certainly didn’t want Lucas or Paterson to go. She ran toward the door while trying to put on her Jimmy Choo Keenan Metallic Caged Sandals. She heard a knock at the door. She yanked it open and Lucas was standing there in jeans and a shirt that hug his form. Ava froze for a minute then she stepped out and lock her door. He was looking at her up and down which was making her feel funny inside. She felt her breasts getting hard under his stare and he seems to notices it too. Ava cleared her voice and move past him.

“Wow, you change fast.” Ava cracked.

“Oh it nothing. I don’t waste time in changing clothes because I don’t like to keep people waiting shall we.” He said and smiled.

He actually smiled at her. Ava inside were doing flip flop. Paterson came out looking hotter than before. His jeans hug every curve of his body. Ava month was hanging open because she never seen his wear anything causal. She closed her mouth quickly. The elevator open and they enter. When they got arrive down to the lobby Godfred was already with the rest of them. Stacey and they rest of them pause when they saw Paterson and Lucas behind Ava coming their way. Stacey gave Ava a look that said their coming too. Ava nodded her head a little.

“Hello, my fellow employees. This evening is on me and you can all relax. We’re going to have a blast. Just for this evening.” Lucas told them but they were reassured because it was they way how he saw it and his tone. “We’re taking my car. So let going. The rest of them didn’t know weather to run or follow. Ava was shock and just headed out the door. Stacey followed her.

“What going on?” she whispered.

“I don’t know. It’s all Godfred fault. If he didn’t ask me what I was doing later they won’t know where we were going. “Ava whispered back. Sava and Stacey glance back Lucas and Paterson. They were in a deep conversation. Stacey and Ava looked at each other.

“This is going to be an interesting turn of event. I can’t wait to see the outcome.” Stacey said smiling brightly.

The place was beautiful. It was big with a lot of scenery. They sat them to a booth in the back. Everyone was tense and didn’t know what to say or do. Lucas order them drinks. No one talked except for Godfred. He ends up sitting next to Ava. He made sure she was next to him. Lucas was sitting on the other side of her. Dilly glance at Lucas then look away.

“Okay! We are here to have fun. Just because are bosses are sitting in front I not going to enjoy my time. Guys you can order something light for me I’m going to hit the dance floor.” Stacey announced. She got up and headed to the dance floor.

“Um... me too.” Dilly said and quickly got up. Ava tried to leave but Godfred didn’t want to let her past. She was getting really irritated with this guy.

“If you don’t let me-” Ava close her eyes and took deep breathe and smiled. She pinched Godfred hard on his side that causes him to jump and fall on the floor. Ava slide out and follow the rest to the dance floor. They begin to have a great time after everyone tension was gone. Paterson asked her to dance and wouldn’t take no for an answered. Godfred had a little bit too much to drink and was getting a little to attach to Ava. He had picked up Ava and threw her over his shoulders. Ava told him to put her down but he wasn’t listening.

“I don’t want you dancing with other guys!” he stated sluggishly. He started to walk toward the entrance but Lucas stopped him.

“Godfred, if you still want to work for me you will put the woman down now!” Lucas said calmly but his tone was deadly. Other people who were watching crinkled under his tone. Godfred put her down immediately. “Okay. Everything fine now. I think it time for us to leave.”

Lucas grabbed Ava arms and headed out the door. He stooped to thanks the owner for good time and said they’ll be back next time. Ava tried to loose her hand from Lucas but he wouldn’t let go. His limo came around the corner.

“Lucas, I think you can let her go now.” Paterson said. “She didn’t cause a ruckus.”

“I know but we are going somewhere else, right Ms. Ling?” Lucas asked her. The look in his eyes told her she better agree or else. She nodded her head.

“Um... yes, yes. There is somewhere we have to go.” Ava agreed. Stacey looked backed at them. Her eye browed rose. She walked up to him.

"Well, the girl can’t go anywhere we. So can you kindly let her go? Whatever it is can wait in the morning. The girl needs a break and she a little drunk so she wouldn't be much help to you anyway, right Ava?" Stacey had a strange looking her in the eyes. Ava got the picture. She looked up at Lucas and smiled funny.

"Why, yes. Do you want to go pee in the bushes? Ha! Ha! HA! Lok sea the land up thee land!" Ava laughed and pointed. Lucas glanced at her and release.

"Well, back to the hotel. It's getting late." He said and they all piled inside the limo.
