CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
We arrived at the hotel and we all piled out of the car. I was happy to get away from everything for a while and have a good thing. But one thing bothered me the most. The fact that Dylan mouthed ‘I’m sorry’ when he got taken away. Was he really sorry or was he just putting on a show? I brushed the thought away and followed Jerry and Becca up to the front desk. Jerry told the lady the name the room is under and she gave him a key. We had left Jerry to organize a hotel. We had told we would all help pay but he told us a thousand times that his parents have offered to pay.
We got onto the elevator and Jerry pressed the button for ‘penthouse’. I looked at Jerry with wide eyes. Jerry smiled smugly at me as he wrapped his arm around Becca. I was so confused about them two. Were or weren’t dating? I looked back at Simon who smiled widely at me. He was heaps excited and all I could do was giggle at him. He had fist pumped his way into my room this morning and fist pumped his way out of the house. I hadn’t laughed so hard at him until this morning.
The elevator stopped and we got off. The place was huge and we had the whole floor to ourselves. We had a view that went over the beach and I could see to kingdom come. I smiled as I sat my bag down on one of the white leather couches and walked out onto the balacony. I couldn’t believe my eyes and I wasn’t daring to look down. But like always, as soon as you think, don’t look down, you look down. “Oh shit.” I whispered.
“Liking the view?” I heard Jerry ask.
“Yeah.” I replied.
“I come out to talk to you about Becca.” Jerry said.
“Is it bad?” I asked as I looked at him.
“Oh no. I just want to know something.”
“Okay then.” I said.
“Why did you not introduce me to here when we first met?” Jerry smiled widely.
“Because I hardly knew you when we first met. And I always thought of you as a total jack ass.”
“Well thanks for clearing that up.” Jerry laughed, “What do you think about me now?”
“I think that you can be a gentleman when you want to be and I think that you really do like Becca.”
“Actually, I do. But I don’t know if she likes me anymore after the accident and everything.”
“Jerry, you got to be fucking kidding me! She does really like you, she has liked you for a while.”
“But I got her into the accident.” Jerry sighed.
“Jerry, it wasn’t your fault you got hit. It was that idiot who rammed you up the ass because he was speeding. Stopping being such a cry baby and tell her how you feel.”
“Jesus Christ.”
“No, I’m Nina. Not Jesus.”
“You really know how to tell someone straight don’t you?”
“I sure do. Now, go get her and talk to her before I grabbed you by your ear and dragging both of you into a room and make you have a D’n’M.” I laughed.
“Alright, alright, I am going, Mum.”
“Righto.” I laughed.
I watched Jerry and Becca disappear into a room and I watched the door close. I was proud to say I might have been a match maker on these two. I watched Wesley and Simon walk out and over to me.
“What did you do?” Wesley asked.
“I think I should become a match maker.” I smiled widely.
“Oh god, don’t even think about doing that.” Poppy said.
“Why? I’d be awesomely great at it.” I laughed.
“You may have matched Jerry and Becca up but you couldn’t do it as a living.” Poppy said.
“Why?” I snapped.
“I’m not trying to piss you off Nina, but my aunty is a match maker, well was, and she said it’s the hardest job you could ever do.” Poppy smiled.
“Oh, could of said that first Pop.” I replied with a smile.
“Didn’t mean to make you angry.” Poppy said.
“Where is everyone?” I asked.
“Mattew and Ryan went to the beach, Lucy and Kelly went shopping for new bikinis and Sam and Louis went down to get a feed.” Simon said.
“Oh, well they could have invited me for a feed.” I whinged.
As soon as I said that the door slammed open and Louis walked in looking so angry. I had never seen him look this angry.
“Nina, a word please?” Louis said staring dead at me.
Not a good way to start a weekend away.
A/N: Short chapter I know. What do you think has happened? Why is Louis so bloody angry? And why does he want to speak to Nina alone? TELL ME YOUR THOUGHTS PEOPLE! I WANT TO KNOW! ~Kayla.
