CHAPTER NINETEEN

THREE WEEKS LATER – GRADUATION AND FORMAL (PROM)

I woke up feeling like I was going to chuck. I ran to the bathroom and leant over the sink as I through my guts up. I didn’t know what was going on but I guess I got that stomach bug that Kelly had two days ago. I just hoped I would be able to go to graduation and formal today. Maybe my mum has some sickness I can take so I don’t feel sick. Once I had finished throwing my organs up, I brushed my teeth and went on the search for mum. I found her in the kitchen with Louis. Samantha had been kicked out when I told mum what went down. I don’t know where she is and I couldn’t care less.

“Hey Mum, do you have anything to stop me from feeling sick?” I asked.

“Yes, I’ll get it for you.” Mum got up and went to the cupboard above the fridge, “Did you get the stomach bug that Kelly had?”

“I don’t know, probably. I did go see her.” I replied.

“I told you to text her to see if she was okay but you didn’t listen to me.” Louis said.

“Shut… Oh god!” I ran to the downstairs bathroom.

I made it just in time to throw up.

Today is going to be shit.

“You feeling alright?” Simon asked me.

“Yeah sort of.” I said.

“Let’s hope you don’t need to run off stage.” Simon said as we were waiting to line up.

“The stuff Mum gave me made me feel a little better so I am hoping I don’t need to run off stage.” I gave a weak laugh.

“Alright students! Listen up! When you hear your names stand in line behind the person that got called before you!” Ms Applebrum said.

Ms Applebrum started calling names. A few people stood in line before Wesley’s name got called, then my name. Two more people got called then Kelly’s name. A few more got called then I heard Poppy’s and Mattew’s names. Another couple of people got called and Becca’s name got called. After more people got called I heard Ryan’s and Simon’s. Then more people that I didn’t even know got called then I heard Lucy’s name. After the rest got called, Jerry’s name got called which meant he was the last person to accept his certificate.

The principal made some boring speech before he started calling out the names. Soon it was my turn to accept and walk across that stage. I was glad I wasn’t running across the stage. I shook the principal’s hand, smiled at the camera and walked off stage as I heard my group and mum and Louis cheering. I was pretty sure I heard someone wolf whistle at me. Wesley hugged me and I hugged him back. Soon everyone was across the stage besides Jerry.

“Last but not least, Jerry Zee!” We all heard.

All of a sudden we were all cheering and whistling. Jerry smiled his make the girls dropped dead smile for the camera before walking off stage and in to Becca’s arms. I was so glad that they were together. The boys did that hand shake they normally do and us girls hugged him like the rest of us did with each other. We were all finally graduated and didn’t have to return to school. I was glad.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-

I walked out of the hairdressers with my make-up done and hair done with all the girls. We had gone dress shopping online two weeks ago and our dresses arrived last week. I was glad when all the dresses fitted. I know we took a risk on buying them online but we wanted to stand out a formal and that was the only way we would stand out. We went back to my place were Mum started snapping photos left and right. We smiled and laughed as we tried to get ready but mum was taking so many photos that if you got them all printed you’d be able to cover a house inside and out with them. I grabbed my dress and got Louis to help me get in it. Once I was in my dress I looked at myself in the mirror and gasped. I have never seen myself look this good. The red brought out my eye colour and it looked amazing on me. I turned to Louis who was smiling like one of those really happy smiley faces that always look to happy.

“You look amazing, Nina!” Louis said as he hugged me.

“Thank you. Do you think Simon will like it?” I asked.

“Honey, if I was straight I would be fucking you right now. So, yes he will.” Louis laughed.

“Thanks Louis.” I laughed.

The door flew open and there stood my Mum ready with the camera. Oh god.

“Say CHEESE!” Mum said.

“CHEESE!” Louis and I said at the same time.

The camera flashed a couple times before my Mum said she had to make sure the other girls were ready. I put on my heels and walked out the room and over to Mum’s room where Kelly and Poppy were getting ready. Louis had kindly given up his room for Becca and Lucy to get ready. I smiled as I walked  and looked at them both.

“You girls look amazing!” I said.

“And you too Nina, Simon will drop dead.” Lucy smiled.

“Well I don’t want him to drop dead.” I laughed.

Lucy and Becca walked in and we all smiled at each other. I think we were all full of butterflies. Mum took photo after photo of all us and Louis was in some of them too. The next thing we knew we heard a knock on the door. Us girls looked at each other and squealed.

“Stay right here. I shall call your names for your dates.” Mum laughed.

Mum raced downstairs like an excited two year seeing hearing her favourite TV show on. I heard the boys talking to mum before I heard her start calling out names.

“Kelly!” Mum called out.

“Oh shit, here we go.” Kelly said and let out an excited scream.

Kelly walked out the room and walked downstairs. We heard wolf whistles and we girls laughed. Next was Becca, then Poppy.

“Nina!” Called mum.

“Fuck.” I said as I giggled.

I walked out the room and looked down the stairs at Simon. I smiled and he gave me his smile that made the girls weak at the knees. I walked down the stairs trying not to stand on my dress.

“Yeow!” I heard the girls scream as the boys whistled.

When I got to the bottom Simon wrapped his arm around me and Mum told us to all get together. Next thing we know Mum is going crazy with the camera. We smiled until our cheeks hurt.

“Ready to go?” Louis asked.

“Yeah, more than ready.” I laughed.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-

When the principal said his farewells and good lucks. It was time to eat. We had a three course meal and then we were free to do what we wanted until nine. Once formal was over and all photos were taken, we went home and got changed then headed off to the after party held by a girl called Chloe. When we arrived the place was packed and the music was pumping loudly. I was glad I wasn’t feeling sick anymore and I could enjoy my night. We went inside and found all the drinks. Most people were already drunk, well the light weights anyways. I took a shot with my friends and boyfriend.

“Come on let’s go dance!” Kelly cheered as the song One Night by Cobra Starship came on.

We went to the middle of the dance floor and danced away. The songs played through and the drinks flowed. About four am, me and Simon decided to leave and go home. I was glad mum said that if I was going to drink come back home. I unlocked the door and walked in. I dropped my keys on the floor and put a hand to my mouth as I tried to keep my laughing down low.

“Shh.” I said to the keys.

“Why are you telling keys to be quiet? They don’t talk!” Simon slurred through his laugh.

“Shut up!” I said grabbing his hand, “Come on!” I dragged him upstairs to my room.

As soon as the door was shut, our lips were moulded together and we soon found the bed.

TWO WEEKS LATER.

I arrived at the prison twenty minutes before visiting hours. No one knew I was here and no one was ever going to know. It was a one off thing and it would be the first and last time I would see Dylan. He is in here for the next ten years. I grabbed my phone and scrolled through Facebook only finding crap on it. I got out of Facebook and started playing angry birds. I didn’t know how long I played angry birds for but when I finished it was time for me to go in and see Dylan. I was scared. I walked through and got checked to make sure I had no drugs, sharp objects and the rest of that. I went to the desk and told them my name. They had only allowed me to see Dylan with no one over the age of eighteen because I told why I didn’t want anyone to know. It was a one off thing. A really hot guard walked me to the visitor room and lead me over to Dylan. He looked up at me and he looked like shit. I sat down in front of him and gave a small smile.

“Hey Dylan.” I said.

“Hey, how are you?” Dylan asked.

“I’m doing alright. You know this is just a one off visit?”

“Yeah, I think you told me three times when I rung you the other day.”

“Sorry. So, how’s life in here?”

“It’s shit. It’s worse than you think. I shouldn’t have done what I did because then I wouldn’t be in this hell hole.”

“Yeah you got that right. Got any friends?”

“Um, yep. I have made two, David, who is over there,” Dylan pointed at the David guy, “And Ethan, over there.” Dylan pointed at Ethan.

David had blonde hair and a very muscular body. Ethan had jet black hair and he too, has a very muscular body.

“Whoa, they look like tanks.”

“They look mean on the outside but they are really nice lads.”

“Oh true.”

“What have you been doing with yourself? How’s everyone? How was graduation and formal?”

“I haven’t been doin much, everyone is good and formal was great, same with graduation. But you know Becca?”

Dylan dropped his head, “Oh.”

“Um,” I didn’t know what to say so I just went on, “Well, she and Jerry are dating now. Bet you didn’t think that would happen?!”

“Jerry… has… a…. girlfriend?” Dylan said surprised.

“Yep!” I laughed.

Half an hour later it was time for me to go. I said bye to Dylan and left. I basically ran to my car and got in. I closed my eyes and breathed in deeply before letting it out slowly. I don’t how I am going to keep this from anyone. Maybe I could tell Mum, lie a little saying I wanted to know why he did it. Yeah, that will work. But I hate lying. Ah, fuck my life.

A/N: Chapter 19 is done! Finished! Haha. Comment and such as usual. Will be posting photos of the dresses in a short story if you wanna see what the girls wore. :D I'll put in my featured writing until the next chapter is posted. :D
