This was my first day at a new school, Hawthorne High. To top off the absolute awkwardness of being the 'new student', I was starting senior year as the new kid. This was going to be weird. I was reluctant to get out of bed, I was not ready for this at all. I heard my mom calling from downstairs, this was a total nightmare. I pulled the covers off of me and slowly rolled out of my bed. All of my clothes were still in boxes, I hadn't had time to unpack with having to register in at Hawthorne. I walked lazily over to the box that had shirts written neatly on the side. I dug through until I found my pink and white Aero shirt. Next was deciding rather to wear jeans or a skirt, I went to the dresser to retrieve my cell and looked up what the weather would be like today. It was going to be warmer so I decided with a white ruffle skirt. I made my way to my bathroom and jumped in the shower. The water was calming, it was nice relaxing for a minute because I knew I would be tense today. After the showering was done I got out and blow dryer my blonde hair, put some curl amping spray in, and went about putting on some makeup. I decided I better take my time, I needed to make a good impression, seeing as I would most likely be meeting with the head cheerleader today. I hoped they had a extra spot open. I was a cheerleader in my last school, its all I really knew. I hurried to brush my teeth and put on lotion. My mom was constantly calling for me to hurry up. I finally finished and made my way downstairs. "Sally your late! You don't even have time for breakfast." My mom always wanted to make sure I ate properly because she claimed cheerleaders would stress out too much and become anorexic. "Its fine mom, I'll just grab something at school." I told her smiling. I gave her a kiss on the cheek and headed to my car. I cranked the music up to calm my nerves a little bit. I was listening to Green Day, I know not expecting a prep to listen to anything but pop right? I reached the school and pulled into the parking spot closest to the office. I locked my car door and slowly walked to the double doors, taking a deep breath before entering. I was at the front desk waiting for the receptionist to bring me my schedule when a boy walked out of the guidance councilors office. He was the loner type, black hair mostly covering his eyes, dressed in black jeans, a slipknot shirt, and walking quickly past with his head down. I liked his type, they were lovers, most boys my age were players. Couldn't trust any of them, except the emos. The receptionist handed me my schedule and I made my way to my first class, math with Mr.Myers. I walked in the classroom slowly and found a seat in the very back. The whole class was looking at me, no, staring is more like it. Boring a hole through me. Mr.Myers finally walked in and the class turned their attention towards him. "Good morning class, hope everyone had a good weekend." Some girl with dark hair raised her hand with a quickness. "Yes, Jasmine?" "There's a new girl, maybe she should introduce herself." She said and looked back at me. My cheeks instantly flushed, I wasn't the type to speak infringement of people without people saying the exact same thing at the exact same time. Mr.Myers looked at me smiled and motioned for me to go ahead. My palms were starting to sweat, I stood up and headed to the front of the class. I hesitated for a second. "Hi, I'm Sally, I just moved here from Alabama." I said quickly and hurried to my seat. "Nice to meet you Sally, hope you enjoy it here." Mr.Myers said smiling warmly at me. I simply smiled back and looked down. The class went by so fast, I had barely had time to finish my assignment, which meant homework on the first day. I sighed when the bell rang and got out of my seat to go to my second class, English with Mr.Barthon. That's when I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned to face 3 girls. On the right was a blonde hair, petite girl, the middle stood Jasmine, and the left stood a short round girl with red hair. "Hi, Sally. I'm Jasmine, I was told you wanted to try out for cheerleading?" She said this with a certain cocky attitude, I didn't care much for this type of person. "Yeah, I am actually, I was the head cheerleader in Alabama actually. Are you on the team?" I decided to be nice. "Yes I am, and these are my besties, Sarah.
