"W-What? Alison!?"I said standing in the door way of the room. Before me was in fact Alison, but it was the woman beside of her that caught me by suprise. She was tall and pale, porcelin like skin with long fiery red hair that was fit into one bradi over her shoulder. She was in fact wearing heels with a lab coat, but the thing that suprised me most, was the symbol that had been so carefuly sown into the coat chest. It was the hunters sign, I had seen it on every jacket of my captors at the arena. A blacked fanged skull with a knife running through its temple."Why is a....?"
She was quick to cut me off "Don't worry she won't harm you or us, she has one main target." I paused for a moment remebering how Scaris had dissapered in such an odd unpredictable fashion. "Are you talking about Scaris?" Then I quickly remembered something, my head turning to Alison with anger "You knewabout this." I could tell by her expression that she had immedientaly caught on.
"She also saved your life." The other woman interrupted, and I quickly silenced myslef, something about the air around her warned me to stay quiet. "I can see that the prince is no longer present, Alison. " I watched as Alison nodded quielty, then moved her gaze to see my eyes.
"Arian...I'm going to explain everything." I glanced over at the woman, and I had expected it to be a quick peek but was caught off gaurd to seeing that she was practicaly memorizing me. She wasnt looking away and had her hand under her chin thoughtfuly.
"What are you doing?" I questioned slightly unerved by the looks she was giving me. I suddenly felt like an experiment.
"So he went after this girl?" She questioned, Alison nodding in response. "She is quite the find,is she a Vintress?"Alison shrugged and it must have been quite funny to both of them to see how confused I looked. First the blood seal, then this strange new Scaris, and now a Vintress."
"Arian...I will need you to go with this woman back to the agency...your parents will not be expecting you for a couple of weeks, and you need to be protected...this is an entirely new enemy."
"What!?" I nearly shouted "This woman is a hunter, they tried to kill me!" Alisons expression softened, at the sound of my voice but I was quite suprised to hear the woman speak up again.
"My name is Nessa, Arain, and I am a leader in the hunt for vampires, I can not harm you and I will be sure the others don't. Besides you will prove useful in the future. I don't think you understand what sistuation you have just been set it." I rolled my eyes anoyed by their constant warnings, but again they wouldn't tell me a single thing.
"Then Nessa, can you please explain it too me?" She smiled slightly brushing a piece of red hair from her face.
"Fair, but only if you come with me...I have already guaranteed your safety among the hunters."
"Fine, continue."
"Then where should I start...how about with this Prince then? Arain I am sure you have noticed a diffrence in his personality. Its becuase the blood seal broke. The blood seal was a powerful vampiric spell placed on him by his grandfather, Enim. Scaris...well the Scaris you knew was a result of that, so i suggest you learn to addapt to is real personality. You see..." She paused for a moment as if thinking over her words "The blood seal can only be broken if the host drinks human blood once again. Once a vampire drinks human blood he looses his humanity by devouring another, that is simply how that seal worked. Enim sealed him away for quite the reason. Scaris, is in reality a powerful vampire, nearly two houndred years old, he was a darkling from Maskerash one of the most powerful vampire covens, but then again one of the most wicked. He is a human slaughterer, and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. That vampire that rescued you was nothing but a mirrage to this one."
"And....Vintress?"
She chuckled lightly "I don't think you are ready to handle that yet."
