I woke up, no, not on a beautiful silky bed, or no, not in a nice little dungeon. And, no not even in the arms of a sweet little vampire that I would marry, and make all soft and kind like in all the vampire books. I woke up...in the arms.......of a tree. Yes, a tree. Ok, i know its sounds kind of funny, and quit smiling...jerks.
I breathed in quickly as my eyes opened up to the darkness. It was night. Perfect. Oh and where was the crazed lunatic vampire. Wow you guessed it, no you didn’t, he wasn’t there. Or was he?
"Hey!" I screamed, shooting up from what I now found was a tree limb.
"Be quiet, you sound like a banshee." I shuttered glancing down from the tree to see Scaris dressed in the same CIA looking gear he had worn before.
"What...where...am I?"
"I put you there when you fainted from the fall...I didn’t want a bear to eat you while I was gone."
I gripped the sides of the large branch, trying to find a way down. "Gone?"
"Hunting." He said pulling something from his pocket as his other hand unsheathed the gun from his leg.
"You...feed on animals?" He laughed coldly.
"Animals?" His eyes wandered to mea, and I shuddered seeing his snake like pupils watching me hungrily. "I only feed on humans, I’m what you would call a darkling vampire." I pulled my hands up to my chest as my knees withdrew as well. What I was wearing now were similar to night clothes, and obviously I had no shoes. It was cold.
"Then why are you keeping me?"
"Didn’t we already settle this?" He responded, sliding a few bullets into the barrel of his pistol.
"You said you were going to kill me, get to it then." I was testing him now, and he knew that.
"Hmm, why should I? I need you."
I shot a glare at him "For what?" He removed his glove with his fangs, and rolled the barrel before shooting me a last glance.
"Your about to see one of the many reasons..." I furrowed my eyebrows as he retreated into the brush. It was quite hard for me to understand at first, but then I heard it. Shouting.
"Hey, I think I heard a scream over here a few minutes ago!" My eyes widened at the sound. There it occurred to me. Lives to this prince were worthless tools. He lived for himself, and only himself. Evil. What he was planning to do, was evil.
