*What am I doing here?*
*It’s cold*
*It…hurts*
*I’m…alive?*
I winced as a bright light wavered into my vision, as my eyes zoomed into focus. *Why is it so bright* “Her condition is improving.” I heard a male voice state quietly. “Good.” I furrowed my eye browns at the second voice. It was a girls…it was so smooth and pure. *Am I in heaven or something?* “But it’s a shame” I winced at the male’s voice again, compared to the girls it was so rough, and hurt my ears. *Ok, I’m in hell* “Both of her parents had to die in that car crash. I froze *What? Pete…Jenna?*
“Who will take care of her…there aren’t any records of any relatives? Well except for you, and your parents. I turned my head slightly *what was going on, this was a dream right?* “We will be taking her in, we will be sure to reveal the news later.” The silky voice said. *Taking me in? What…are they talking about? I don’t have any relatives left.*
I tried to speak but all that escaped my lips the first time was a light whimper. “Oh, she’s awake.” Suddenly the bright light over head was turned off, and I heard shuffling. “Arian, can you speak?” I swallowed, and winced at the pain in my throat. “Water” I managed to whisper, and soon I heard movement, and then the sweet sound of water. It wasn’t long before I felt a cool glass against my lips, followed by a cool substance which I drank quickly. “How are you feeling?” I heard the male voice say, and slowly I opened my eyes.
Leaning over me was, a bright blonde, with pale skin and electric blue eyes. She was a beautiful girl maybe seventeen, my age but a bit older. “I feel better…I thought. I was dead.” The doctor in the back ground frowned “No, a robber broke into your house last night, and cut the side of your throat, you were going to die from blood loss, but luckily your relative found you.”
I was prepared to question him, but suddenly the blonde glanced over at the doctor “Hey, could I have a few minutes to explain everything alone?” He seemed quite surprised by her sudden remark but quickly agreed, leaving through the door and closing it behind him.
“What…is going on?” The blonde looked at me, then lifted up a glass of something cold. A glass full of something…red…thick…and cold.
“What!?”
“Yes.”
“I’m not a”
“You are…why do you think you were thirsty?”
“N-No”
“Yes.”
I gasped at her, and she just smiled flashing a set of very sharp fangs.
“No…” I fell back down on the bed, ignoring the dizziness. “Your fun to watch, I was just kidding. It’s actually tomato juice. I told the doctor you loved it, and I even went through the trouble of giving you extra medicine so you couldn’t taste it.” I slowly pulled myself up glaring at her. “Ah, but before we get to the senseless chatter lets get to the good stuff.”
“Who are you?”
“That’s better.”
“So?”
She sat down on bed “My name is Ann. I will be taking care of you while your parents are preparing a home for all of you to move too.”
“But…WHO are you?”
She frowned slightly “I’m…Scaris’s sister.”
