“Sister, she can’t move.”
I heard him whisper, “Let, go of her Scaris, or I will call father.”
I heard him chuckle softly “Call father, what is he going to do? Use another blood seal?” There was a pause, and that was it.
“Who are you…really?” I whispered, I needed to buy time, but yet again, I could feel my curiosity pressed into the question.
“I’m Scaris…the real one.”
I breathed in deeply, relaying the information “The real one?”
He laughed “Arain, if you are attempting to buy time for your rescue, its useless.” My eyes widened at his comment, and I couldn’t help but respond with less caution “What?”
“Why do you truly think they sent you in here?” I could hear the smile in his voice now “They didn’t want you’re help, they merely wanted to see if the blood seal was still functioning.”
I could feel his arms loosen slightly, and I felt I small loophole to his grasp but I had to wait.
“What are you talking about?”
“Stating it simply, I was betrayed as the Prince a few years ago, I was sealed away by my so-called family.” I felt his grip loosen just a bit more, and with this, I suddenly threw myself forward, racing towards the door. I knew he would chase me, or at least something of the sort, and just as I assumed he grabbed my hand. I could feel myself bei8ng pulled backwards but I wouldn’t let myself go, no, this wouldn’t happen again.
Without even thinking I moved according to my position, swinging my leg up where his head should have been, but merely feeling my shoe collide with his other hand. I tried to pull back, and feeling that he had help my leg in place swung my other leg. This time I felt it his something, possibly his side, or his shoulder, but with the contact he let go of my arm and pulled back.
“Arain!” I looked back at him to see that he was holding his side, but his mouth wasn’t open, and soon I realized it wasn’t his voice. “What?” I thought loudly, watching Scaris as I slowly eased to the door. His eyes seemed dangerous to me now, no longer were they those human like eyes, but now he hade the pupils of a snake, holding an entirely knew fierceness. “Arian are you ok?” It was Alison.
“Yes, I’m fine…I think.”
“Then try to get out, I’m outside.”
I nodded forgetting that she couldn’t see me, but with this I caught his attention. He didn’t seem to show a facial expression at first, but surprisingly he backed off. Literally took a few steps back, and let me reach the door, but when I turned around again, he was gone.
At first I expected him to appear elsewhere, perhaps in front of me again, but when I opened the door, nothing happened. He had left, without a word, without a sign. I thought he was gone for good. Oh but I had no idea how wrong I was then.
