Skylyn’s P.O.V.
I forced the man against the wall flashing my fangs to quiet him “What are
their intentions with the stolen materials?” The man hesitated glancing
nervously around the room with his dark red eyes. “I-I don’t know…they say
there at war with the V.S.A.!” I narrowed my eyes at him, my black one not
showing up in the darkness as my crimson red eye cut it like a knife through
my black hair. “War? That can not be all.” The Vampire winced as I forced
my hand harder against his neck. “T-That’s all I know I promise!” I laughed
darkly bending his next to the side as my fangs grew past my lips “That’s a
shame.” He began to struggle wildly as I neared his neck “You will pay with
your life, insect.” I forced my long fangs into his neck removing them with
the force to kill, tearing through both the skin and veins.
I hated the taste of vampire blood, it was utterly disgusting, and smelt of
dead animals. Most human blood was the same, the taste horribly bitter, and very
few kinds holding even a hint of decent flavor.
I tossed the body to the floor, spitting before wiping my mouth of the
substance. Nearly six hundred years and still all of it sickened me, I would
eat sand if it would keep me alive.
I quickly turned my head to the door as a girl’s voice suddenly rang out
behind it “Open up! This is the V.S.A.!” I chuckled lightly turning to the moon
lit window. “I would love to stay, and enjoy the expression on their faces. Yet,
I still have work to attend to.” I began to walk to the window but suddenly
stopped, as something suddenly hit me with a strong impact.
Something new.
I collapsed as my knees weakened under me, gripping my hand over my
mouth as my second set of fangs lengthened, my main set growing to the
point of pain. Yet the pain wasn’t what my mind was fixated on, it was the
smell. An unexplainable scent filled the air around me…blood. If I hadn’t have
been as wise, I would have torn the large door from the hinges, but being at a
top floor of a hotel I knew I would be heard. I clenched my throbbing teeth, as
I forced myself into the room’s darkness. As soon as that door opened, that
girl was going to be mine. She wouldn’t be able to escape. She wouldn’t be
able to scream. She wouldn’t struggle…for long.
One moment I was disgusted by the smell of blood, but now I wanted to kill
for it. My fangs were aching, and for a moment calmed when the door was
opened. Yet they suddenly began to burn at the sight. It was a beautiful girl,
layered brown hair, chocolate brown eyes, clear skin, a beautiful figure, but
beside of her was another. The only reason I forced myself to stay in the
darkness. No wonder my teeth were burning, they knew I would have to wait.

“Hey Sefera…do you see anything?” I shook my head slowly “No…wait.” I
said catching a glint of blood. “Ella, get back.” The blond looked at me oddly
as I lifted the gun into the dark, “Stay a few feet behind.” She nodded and
crept behind me slowly as I neared the blood stain. I knew the power didn’t
work in here because we asked the electricians to turn it off for this particular
room, until we secured the target.
“No…” I whispered as I bent down in front of a limp figure, its body half way
submerged in darkness “He’s already…but how?” I touched the blood a bit
with my fingers and felt it between them. It was warm from the creature’s last
meal. He had eaten recently, but that means he had also died recently. Then
I realized something. “Ella, go get the chief.”
“Why?”
“It’s an emergency, also get the power on for further inspection of the room.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
“Its Sefera, I’m seventeen not thirty.” She nodded and walked out of the
room.
Slowly I stood up, readying my gun. “It was nice of you to realize the killer
hadn’t left.” I followed the voice to a corner in the dark, but all I could see was
one blood red eye staring back at me.
“Are you a vampire?” I said quite calmly. I had to be careful, this thing had
just ripped out a vampire’s throat, and it looked like there wasn’t even a
struggle. “No.”
He laughed darkly “And to save you the breath…I’m not a human.” I froze as
his eye vanished.

I couldn’t stand this anymore, I had held back just long enough to let the other
one leave.
I quickly closed my red eye and used my black one too see, the eye that she
couldn’t see back. I swept through the darkness silently, until I was standing
before her. Yet she still couldn’t see me. She wore a strong appearance, but
I new she was afraid…ah, and how that hidden fear provoked me. Finally I
could give in. Yet why spoil the moment?
NORMAL P.O.V.
Where was he? That question was answered quickly as movement wavered
in the darkness right before me. I put my gun up, but it was broken from my
grip as a hand suddenly reached from the darkness, and twisted my wrist. I
would have yelled but I was suddenly pulled halfway into the dark a hand
clasped over my mouth. “I would remain silent.” I pushed my hands up
against his chest, yelling into his hand. “Whisper, and I might let you speak.” I
calmed down closing my eyes tightly until I felt his hand move “Who are
you?” I said in a loud whisper. Then I finally looked up at him, and gasped.
“Like what you see?” He said smirking. I turned away defiantly, stupid gasps
they had to give everything away. Now wasn’t the time for that.
“Let me go.” I demanded sternly, moving my leg slightly to the left, near my
gun. I knew exactly what to do.
I waited until my leg got right beside his. Yet being so focused on this plan, I
didn’t realize that he wasn't talking and PROBABLY WATCHING ME. Then I
tripped him, forcing him down, with me on top, followed by the action of
grabbing my gun and aiming it at his stomach “Don’t move.” My other hand
was pinning his other arm down. He laughed quietly, sliding his fingers
around my wrist with the gun “You want to shoot me?” I narrowed my eyes at
him as he moved the gun over his heart, putting my finger on the trigger “You
can’t kill me.”
Then I nearly yelled as he took my sudden surprise and turned me so that he
was over me, his black hair covering his black and red eyes. “I’m going to
shoot.” He smiled darkly leaning in near my neck “Why should I care?” He
whispered. I suddenly tensed feeling his lips brush over my neck, kissing me
lightly below my jaw line. He was a vampire…he had to be.
SKYLYN’S P.O.V.
“Sefera!” I cursed silently under my breath recognizing the voice from the
door. How dare that ignorant woman interrupt.
I could hear her pulse under my mouth. I was so close, that simple wall of
skin separating me from that addicting scent that I had only known this girl to
posses. That scent that nearly drove me mad. My fangs were aching for it…
this was the first time they had reacted like this in centuries. I needed this.
“Get up vampire!”
“Vampire?” I hissed “What an insult.” I heard the gun ring out, and I lifted my
head, my eyes returning to their human like state after I deflected the bullet
halfway. I could use my powers now…but only very slightly.
The woman’s face was surprised now, and I stood up slowly watching the
girl grow slightly relived as I separated the space between us. I hated it. I
growled as plans of killing the chief flashed through my mind, but I quickly
pushed them away. I wasn’t a blood thirsty beast…I had to keep my
sanity. “Wait…you…can’t…” She muttered.
"You're…” She nearly whispered the last words, but I could hear the name
that hadn't come to my ears in years. “Skylyn…Cremeon Rie.”
