Chapter two
My father, Attilio G. came home panting, scared, and pale. “Your uncle…Blake is dead.”
“What?! How is that even possible?” My uncle was always cautious, always on the look-out. 'It can’t be true!' I literally screamed in my head. "No. No. No. NO!" I screamed. The room seemed to just keep spinning in circles.
“Clarissa! Come here!” my father yelled. My mom scrambled over, her face eyes wide with fear.
“Gambini! What happened! Tell me now!” My mom said. Worried, as she pulled my father over to the living room to talk. I went up the stairs, stunned, and entered my room. Blake and I was close, though he was the Mafia Boss, and I was the only one who seen his other side. The nice side. He's always been there for me when I was feeling down, and always helped me study when I needed help. I flopped down on the bed, with tears streaming down the side of my face. I thought about all the things Blake and I have done. What he's done for me.
Flashback......
"Mommy! Daddy! We're going the Six Flags today right?!" Dressed in a yellow sun dress, my two pigtails bounced as I bounded towards them. My dad held up a finger, silencing me. I watched him intently, shifting from foot to foot from excitement. "Mommy?" I turned my head to look at her. My eyes shined with anticipation.
"Yea, honey, wait. No, no. I was talking to my daughter. Yes. Okay, I'll be there in a few." My hope instantly died as I heard her say that into the phone.
"Hey Scar baby? We will go to Six Flags some other time okay?"
"But you said that LAST TIME too!" 7 year old me whined.
"I promise. Okay? I got to go now."
"Will you make it to my play daddy?" I asked eagerly.
"Sorry honey, I can't." And they left. Just like that. I remember running into my room, crying in a corner. There was a soft knock on the door and Blake walked in.
"Scarlett? Hey, kid. You okay?" I just shook my head.
"Blakey? Do my parents love me?" I looked up at Blake, tears and snot all over. He just nodded.
"Very much. Now go wipe your tears and get ready. We're going to Six Flags."
"REALLY?! YOU'RE the BEST!" I ran up to him, giving him a bear hug. Well, as far as I could reach around him. Then I remembered. "But...What about work?" He just smiled down at me.
"Screw that. Let's go princess."
End of Flashback....
My cousin came in and I felt the bed sink as she sat beside me.
“Hey… You okay?”I couldn’t reply, I just nodded. My shoulders shook and my chest heaved as I desperately gasped for breath. She sighed and went out. I curled myself into a ball and cried myself to sleep that night.

“YOU LET HIM GET AWAY? HE GOT AWAY?! I WANT YOU TO FIND HIM AND KILL HIM! NOW!” my "boss" was yelling furiously at me. I looked at him. His bald head glistened with sweat, and his eyes burned with dark fury. He was spitting all over, furious that I had been seen. I glared into his tiny, black, beady eyes.
“I will, I’m working on it now. Shut up and let me do my job. And, it's not my fault you lost all your money to him. Idiot. You hired me to kill him, you don't own me." I turned around and went back to my Mac. ‘Beep beep beep’
“One. Result. Found.” A robotic voice said to me. I clicked it. Attilio G. Typical, it was Blake’s brother. I grinned and clicked into his file. Blake's brother... bunch of useless information. Suddenly I stopped scrolling down when something caught my eyes. His cousin’s kid goes to Mafa High. Perfect. Now all I need to do is become one of them. I laughed and shut my laptop screen. Show time baby.
