A/N: Yes i know, it took me forever, but I wasn't sure if the update was neccesary because no one really replied to the other one. Yea, that one was a sucky one, I know....but eh... anywas, here's some more action for ya! (I guess...) And I just chose a random song... so.... sorry if it doesn't fit this chapter at all :(
The moment I got home I plopped onto my bed. I threw a pillow at my friends who were scattered on my floor and opened my laptop.
“How many tickets and to where?” I looked up from my screen and asked.
“Snowbird Mountain? In Utah?” Alex suggested, giving me a hopeful look. I looked at Christy and she just shrugged.
“Utah it is!” I ordered the tickets and grinned at them happily. “Let’s pack!”
The next day the three of us held our luggage at our side as we walked out of the Utah airport. We took a bus to the resort and checked ourselves in. I quickly checked my mail to see that my message of me leaving was sent to my dad. Thank god we left before he got back from his business meeting, or else we'd have body guards with us right now. Psh, where's the fun in that?
“Woahh!” Christy’s face filled with wonder as we stepped inside our room. She threw her bag down on one of the beds and plopped down.
“THIS ROOM IS EPIC!” I heard Alex scream from the room next door. I grinned and walked into his room. Huh. A window with the mountain view in front of a hot tub with a couch and Tv behind the tub. The bed was against the wall, with a lamp and table next to it. Small, but cool.
“Let’s go snowboarding right now!” Alex screamed excitedly. I nodded and turned back to go change.
20 minutes later…
“ALEX! STOP MOVING! WE’LL ALL FALL OFF THIS THING!” Christy screamed at him as he swung the lift back and forth. Before I could yell at him too, the lift lurched forward once more and the weight of my snow board caused me to fall off the lift.
“SCARLETT!” I heard them both yell as I dropped. I bent down and landed onto my snowboard, and I began to descend down the mountain. I winced as I swerved around trees; the more I used my foot, the more it hurt. I looked from left to right, trying to find a way out but failing. This was a off limit-zone, and if I stopped now, no one would be able to find me for a long time. I pushed myself to keep going as I began to feel weary from the plane ride and the drop. I swerved away from another tree when my eyes caught onto a sign. “Private lane” Private? This was an off limit zone! What the heck? I went around the sign and kept going down. The bitter cold wind slapped at my face and I squinted my eyes to see better. Snow was covering up my goggles, but I didn’t dare to reach up to wipe it in case I lost balance from the speed. “Caution! Dr-“ but before I could finish reading the sign, I was already flying through the air.I screamed one last time before I closed my eyes.
