"Lola, are you ready for tomorrow?" My mom ask me on another morning of the worst summer ever-not that any other summer has been any better-. "What's tomorrow?" I ask, was someone coming and I forgot? My mom sigh and shook her head. Her short brown hair moving with her. "I swear Lola, you can be so out of it sometimes." She said, in a sad voice. "Sometimes?" My little sister, who's fourteen Cate, said."More like every single day, no wonder Liz ditch you, you have no life, I'm embarrased to be your sister." Lizzie Spears was my best friend from elementary school. Now she's a cheerleader and I'm just a plain loser. "Cate." My mom said."Watch it." "What's tomorrow?" I ask again, taking my glass of orange juice. "Tomorrow is school." Cate said. I Spill the juice on the table. "LOLA!" "What!" I exclaim, standing up and walking towards the calendar. It can't be, "Today's the tenth." My mom said. "School starts tomorrow." "But don't worry, you already bought all your school supplies." Cate said. "Remember, the nerd day." "Cate!" My mom said. "Your sister is not a nerd, she just decides to do her work on time, unlike someone I know. Or do I need to remine you who I had to go to school and plead the principal to let you pass to the ninth grade?" Cate made a face and I smirk. "I need to go shopping anyways," I said."I wouldn't want to embarrased my little sister on the first day of school, now would I?" "Ha,ha, ha." Cate laugh as my dad walk into the kitchen. "Good morning." He said. "Morning dad." Me and Cate said. "Lola," He said, looking at me. "I know is not your birthday, but since you'll be a senior starting tomorrow, your mother and I have decided to give you and early, eighteenth birthday present." "What is it?" I ask, excited. "He's old car, just like your sixteenth b-day." Cate laugh. "Not quite." My mom said, and I stare. "It is a car, but not our car." "Which one do you want to go to?" My dad ask."Porsche or BMW?" "Are you serious?!" I ask. "Yes." He said. "Your Mercedez is too old for you now, I'm selling it." "Finally, it was putting us to shame." Cate said. "I mean, we're like the richest people in this town, that car was of early 2000, we're in 2008 people!" "Cate, I hope you look for a guy with a lot of money, because the money mom an ddad are going to give you won't last you a year." "Ha,ha,ha." "Well, which one do you choose Lola?" My dad ask. I thought for a second. A Porsche or a BMW. umph. I like the M6 so,"BMW." "Let's go."
