It was unexplicable what I felt when I told Lola that I was a Vampire.I was so happy, and I was even more happy by the way she react, like she knew I wasn't human.Now she can understand everything and trust me.She can help me make Cate safe, and let us have our happy ever after. It's better to have her know from the beginning and not later, saving the agony, thinking that she would change her mind about me after she knows what I am.
It was Cam's idea to go to the McCarthy's for breakfast. When we got in Cate was just walking down the stairs all ready for school, she smile as she saw us, a special smile towards Cam who return it. I look at Cam and shook my head. He can't lead her on, he knows that. It's not that he has a girlfriend or anything back in our realm, but he knows that after everything is done he can't stay here, he can't become human, and when he leaves it would hurt them both. Cate would move on, get married and eventually die.Cam won't die, he would live forever and ever.He can't turn her into a Vampire either, if he does we lose the war. There's just no way around it, and I know it hurts him, because he likes her, I know he just met her, but its like that with Vampires, specially if the girl is our soul mate.
We followed Cate and Mrs.McCarthy towards the kitchen.My 'parents' sat next to Mr.McCarthy, Cam to Cate's left and I left a spot open for Lola so she could sit next to her sister.
"Mr. and Mrs.McCarthy this are Mark and Josey. They are here as our parents."I said."Mark, is a wolve from the wolve realm, and Josey is a Fairy from the fairy realm."
"You're a fairy?"Cate ask Josey with excitment.
Josey smiled and nodded."Yes."
"Do you know TinkerBell?"
"Ah, Peter Pan's fairy. No, I don't know her, she lives in NeverLand after all."She said with a smile.
"Right."Cate said and went on to eating her pancakes.
As I ate my pancakes I tried to listen for any sounds that said Lola was upstairs, but I didn't hear anything.
Next thing Lola's walking into the Kitchen.She paused for a minute looking at her sorroundings and I smile.
"Hello."She said before coming to sit in the spot I wanted her to sit, between me and Cate.
"Hi."I said, still smiling.
"Finally."Cate said."Mind taking a bit less time.Showers don't take that long."
I tried my best not to laugh at that.
"Lola honey."Mrs.McCarthy said.
"Yeah?"
"This are Mark and Josey McGregor."Mrs.McCarthy said.
I look at Lola and saw her looking at them with a smile and then turn to me with a confuse expression.
"The story is that they can't have kids, so they addopted me and Cam, who were abandoned in an orphanage in Michigan.They adopted the both of us because I wouldn't go anywhere without my little brother."I explain."Josey is a Fairy, and Mark is a Wolve, like Jacob from the Twilight series."
"I can't believe all this creature are real."She said.
"Right behind you sis."Cate said.
"We have to go to school or we'll be late."Cam said, and I nodded.
We all stood up and left, as I walked out the door I heard Mrs.McCarthy called Lola, adn I heard Lola say "Thanks."
Cam and I got in the Porsche and Cate and Lola got in her M6. We both started the car at the same time and got out of the drive way, Lola infront of us. I park right next to Lola, when I opened my door I smelt a presense of a Vampire, and it wasn't Felipe's, my guess he saw Cam and ask for help.I walked to the back and waited for Lola. I saw her seat back on the driver's sit, a hand on her head. Did she feel it too?
Barly anyone was out here, I was next to Lola in two steps.
"Lola?"I ask, but she passed out.
Cam and Cate were already next to me.
"What happened?"Cate ask, worried.
"I don't know."I said."I'm going to take her back to your house, you two go to class. And Cate?"
"Yeah?"
"Stay as close as you can to Cam, remember, you are the main target."I explain in my most serious tone, so she could take me serious."Cam, be on your guard.I think another rebel is here.Here, you're driving home today."I threw him the Porsche keys.
With that I put Lola in the passenger sit and drove back to her place.
As I park I saw something that shock me.The door of the house was forced open and thrown on the floor.I opened my door and froze, my nose flare. A Vampire was here.I went in the house and went into the kitchen. I saw three lifeless bodies lying on the floor, Josey most had fled, and Mark was in his wlf form, bu he look more like a shaggy dog. I look around and saw a messege written in blood on the wall:This is just a warning of what's coming to you Princesses, better be ready.
I heard a low gasp from behind me and turn to see Lola.Her eyes watering as she saw her parents lifeless bodies.
"Who did this?"She ask me and her tone surprise me, she was mad.
"The only thing I know is that it was a Vampire."I told her."They.....They left a messege."I pointed to the wall and saw her read it over and over again.
"I'm sorry."I said.
"For what?"
"I brought this on."I said."If I hadn't come none of this would had happened."
"Alex."She walked towards me and hug me."You didn't do anything wrong, this isn't your fault."
"Yes it is.I came here, I lead them to the Royals of Earth."I said, I was so angry and upset with me.I shouldn't had come.
"You led them here, yeah."She said."But, you didn't lead them to this.They were the ones that decided to kill my parents, not you."
"You're being too noble."I said.
"But you deserve better."She said."And you're right, you shouldn't had come, I mean, what's so special about me?"
"Everything."I said, she is so underestimating herself."But we'll talk about that later.First we have to do something about this."
"We have to call the police."She said."But, won't they see the mark?"
"No, our marks are invisible to normal humans."I explain."You'll be able to see it, since your the Queen, but noone else can, you can also identify who did this."
"I can?"
"Yeah."I said."You wanna try before we call the police?"
"But how would we really know who it was?"
"You can describe him or her to me and I'll tell you."
"Okay."
She bend down towards her dad and look for the mark. She found it on the left side of his neck. She touched it and close her eyes.
