The WildLions:Our Interview with the HotChikas

Everyone knows the HotChikas leader, Ashley Lopez. The Beta, Angela Long. And the newcomer, Kelly Riveras. But everyone wants to know more.

WildLions: How did you come up with the name?

Ashley Lopez: I don't know, I mean, to tell the thruth my dad came up with it.

Angela Long: Oh yeah! When we were about three, he used to come to us and say 'Hola chikas, how are you today?" and we used to go, 'hot-hot-hot' no matter how cold it was.

Ashley: Yeah! Then we just came up with HotChikas, when we started preschool, but then I moved to Dominican Republic for two years, and when I came back we were so caught up in catching up that we forgot about the group.

Angela: Then, in fifth grade, before Ashley's dad went to film a movie in Australia he was like,"Hey chikas, do you still feel 'hot-hot-hot', and we just started laughing and we remember about the group and Ashley's dad helped us reformed it with better style and since then we've been working our way up.

WL: How do you pick a member?

Ashley: Well, we mostly pick them on their characterism, fashion, and brains.

WL:And you've found all of this in Kelly?

Angela: We found that although she's a fan of us, she never try to amaze us with anything so she could be in, she was just herself.

WL: Kelly, how do you think you fit in with the HC?

Kelly Riveras: I've never been so much into fasion, so the fact that I'm a member of the HC is weird and exciting.

WL: How do you guys face the fact tha you're the most popular girls in ELP?

Ashley: Don't care, being popular is not like being famous, so I don't give it much thought.

Angela: Awsome!

Kelly: I'm not surprise, the HC has been popular since day one, and has had a great influence here.

WL: I've heard you got jewels for the HC?

Ashley: We do, we have this key with the first letter of our name.

Angela: bracelets

Kelly: And Cellphone.

WL: We all notice that its a double bracelet you've got. One with three flags and Angela's second one has five B's. What does that mean?

Ashley: That's for us to know, and for not to find out. And if you do figure it out, I requst not to tell, or I'll make sure you don't ever se a member of ELP ever again.

WL: You mean you'll kill them?

Ashley: NO! I'll just make them move.... And it won't be an option.

WL: Ashley, Angela. you're playing in the softball team, what caused you to join in?

Angela: I love playing softball, it's fun.

Ashley: Yeah. Me too.

WL: You don't sound so sure there Ashley. Why did you join the ELP softball team?

Ashley: That's my business.

WL: OK... I've heard a rumor that you're going out with Luis Arias... Is it true?

Ashley: No. (Blushes and laughs)

WL: How about you Angela? Do you have a boyfriend?

Angela: Yes.

WL: Kelly?

Kelly: No.

WL: What do you suggest to girls who want to be notice by you and by boys?

Angela: Follow the girl code to get guys.

Kelly: Go for guys you like and who like you back for who you are, don't do dares that say go out with a guy for a day or a week, because ate the end you'll be the one getting hurt.

Ashley: Be yourself, don't listen to anybody who tells you you're not worth it. Although it sometimes hurt, but just ignore them and keep in mind that they don't wan to face the thruth: That you're better then them.

WL: Do you have any problems, Ashley?

Ashley: That's none of your business! Gosh!( Burst out of the room.)

Angela: Horrible question.
