A/N: GUYS IM ON A ROLL AND IM NOT STOPPING
Don't tell me you're sorry, because you're not.
"Well this is awkward."
I look at Ryan, his body and face are relaxed, but hes on alert. Ready to do something if needed. Then, I look at Gabe. His whole body is tense. He looks like he is about to throw a fit, or maybe even a punch. I hold my spot, digging my heels even further into the sand.
Gabe ignoress the fact that Ryan is standing right next to me, and he walks over to me. His chest is puffed out, as if he's trying to impress someone. His hair is a mess, and he's still in his boxers. Calub must have woken him up after I ran out.
"Wow Leia, you're so un greatful." He glares at me.
I grab onto Ryan's hand, with out Gabe noticing. He gives it a light squeeze, and it relaxes me a bit. "How am I ungreatful?" I'm surprised at how strong my voice came out.
Gabe's glare grows even stronger, and I feel closed in. He walks right up to my face, and poked me in the chest. "You're just a little whore. You act all innocent to get what you want. Then when you get it, you go back to this piece of trash-" He points at Ryan. "-Why would you even want someone who was in jail? He's probab;y a murderer for all I know!" He thorws his and up in the air, throwing a childish fit.
"Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were Mr. Perfect. I mean, you're so perfect that your sister is going to rip me to shreads! And Alycia, she's going to kick me out! Amanda will never talk to me again! So, thank you so much Gabe! I really appriciate all the nice things you have done for me!"
His eyes and face soften a little, and Ryan's grip loosens on my hand. "I'm sorry Leia, I didn't realiza-"
I hold my hand up, cutting him off. "Save it." I start walking away, tugging Ryan behind me. "Save it for some one who cares."
Even after Gabe is out of sight, Ryan didn't let go of his hand. I didn't want him to either, it kept me calm. We walked until we came to a playground. There wasn't anyone on it, it was nice and peaceful. We walked through the park, a cool breeze blowing through our hair every now and then.
We came to the end, and there was a little opening in the trees. A gate blocking off whatever was behind it. "What's back there?" I asked Ryan, pointing ate the gate.
He follows my finger, and looks at the gate. A smirk appears on his face. "If you can get over there, I will tell you the story."
"But what's over there?" I ask again.
I swear his smirk grew even bigger. "Let's go find out."
Ten minutes later, I'm sitting on top of the gate. Ryan is on the other side, waiting for me to jump down so he can catch me. It was bad enough climbing up, imagine how bad it is getting down.
"Leia, if you don't jump down someone is going to see you. They might call the police." Ryan calls from down below.
My eyes widen a little. "We arn't supposed to be over here?"
He laughs. "There's a gate blocking it off, I doubt it."
"Okay." I close my eyes, and let out a sigh. "On three." With my eyes still closed, I pick up my right foot and swing it around. "One.." I place both hands down at my side, scooting closer to the edge. "Two..." I lift myself up a little. "Three!" I let go.
I'm falling. The wind is rushing past me, and it screams in my ear. I don't open my eyes, no matter what. I don't want to see how close I'm getting to the ground.I feel a pair of arms wrap around me, and Ryan pulls me against his chest.
That was a close one.
I open my eyes, and let out a little gasp. This place is beautiful! It's a little water hole, about twenty feet deep. Trees surround it. Theres about three pick-nick benches, and one park bench. Theres a little clearning, with a patch of dirt. Hanging from the tree above, it a tire swing. The tree across from the water hole, has a rope ladder going up it. Hanging from the top of the tree, is a rope swing.
"This place is..." I couldn't even think of how to describe it.
"Heavenly." Ryan finished.
"It's perfect." I look around. "Except for the garbedge...and rotting wood."
Ryan laughs a little. He sits down at a pick-nick table. I follow him, and sit across. "Durring the 60's, this used to be one of the bigest hang outs in town. Kids would come here, and smoke. One day, the regular group of kids, they came to hang out. They found it closed down, ready to be demolished. They started to protest, but that wasn't working.
So they packed up their bags, and stayed here at night. Some of them, most actually, stayed durring the day aswell. They stared until every last one of them died. Each patch of bougainvillea flowers represents where one of them died."
I looked around. Sure enough, there was about twelve clumps of bright red flowers surrounding the lake. "That beautiful, they died to protect this place."
"I would do the same, to protect something so beautiful." His eye were locked on mine. I felt a blush creep up my cheeks. I ducked my head down, and tucked a piece of hair behind my ear.
"We should clean this place up, add new things."
"We should." Ryan agreed. nodding his head. "Maybe some of the guys would help out, and when Briana gets here she will."
As soon as he said that, his phone started to ring. He gave me an apologetic look, but then answered it. "Briana? Whats wrong?-" "-Okay I will be there." He hung up the phone, and looked at me. "I hope you're ready for a three hours drive to the airport. My sister had to rebook her flight, and it gets in tonight."
"When are we leaving?"
"Now." Ryan jumped up, and grabbed me. He swooped me over his shoulder. I actually had a pretty nice view from over here. His back was pretty nice.
"Ryan! Put me down!" I started pounded at his back.
"Are you going to come to the airport with me?"
"Do you want me to?" I asked.
