After queuing for what seemed like hours, we finally made it on the plane. I silently thanked the Gods of Airplane Travel there was no designated seating. That would have meant alphabetically I would have spent the journey next to Brian ‘B.O’ Cranston. Bianca chose a seat beside the window, as I was prone to travel sickness. Sadly I realised the Gods must have ignored my plea, when I saw Tim and his equally revolting crony Simon Webster, plonk their selves in the seats directly in front.
“This is going to be one long plane ride.’ I groaned, shaking my head. Bianca looked slightly puzzled , then it clicked.
“Oh, wait! That’s you’re stalker isn’t it!” She exclaimed excitedly, trying hard not to laugh. Before I could respond, Tim poked his head over the seat.
“I prefer the term enamoured pursuer, actually.” He quipped, before turning back round.
Bianca erupted into laughter, while I hit her with a rolled up magazine.
“Shut up!” Only now I couldn’t keep the laughter out of my voice too. “It’s so not funny, he’s been harassing me for years!”
“It must be love.” Bianca simpered, fluttering her eyelashes.
Not long after take-off, the oh-so familiar nauseous feeling began to flitter in my stomach.
“I’m just going to the toilet.” I managed to splutter, before dashing down the aisle. I sat in the toilet waiting for the sickness to come, but fortunately it didn’t. After I was sure I wouldn’t puke over everyone, I triumphantly swung open the door, only to collide with the person walking past.
“I’m so sorry! I didn’t know you were there…” I broke off sharply when I saw who it was.
“ It’s cool, I’m fine.” He looked up rubbing his shoulder. “I’ve been looking for you.”
I had managed to run into ‘Private lounge’ guy, of all people.
“So you decided to lurk outside the toilet?” I replied in a bored voice, heading back to my seat.
P.L guy laughed, and shook his curly head.
“Nope I can do that in business class, I thought you might be sitting back here.”
What I show-off, he just had to mention he’s sitting in business class.
“Well you found me. Bye!”
“ Don’t be like that. I just wanted to apologise for earlier. I thought maybe you could join me for a drink?”
To my surprise, I felt slightly tempted, but quickly brushed it away.
“I don’t thi…” Then out the corner of my eye, I saw Tim blowing kisses and waving frantically at me. And I wasn’t the only one who spotted him.
“Right, I see, You already have a boyfriend. Well sorry to bother you.” He smiled slightly and turned to walk away.
“Him!? No way!.” I said frantically, feeling a bit sick at the idea. With an impish grin, he spun round again.
“Great! So how about that drink then?” And before I could refuse, I was being swept up the aisle towards the front of the plane and business class.
