Chapter One

Loving What's Wrong

*Trisha's P.O.V*

"Get your ass down here, Trisha!" Alex yelled, clearly out of patience. "You forced me to go to this stupid dinner, now you're going to make us late!"

I flinched at the intensity of his voice, even though he yelled at me like this a thousand times before. "I'm coming, can you just wait a few minutes?" I asked in a calm and polite tone.

"Hurry up! You said that five minutes ago," he complained.

I kept quiet, hoping time would calm Alex down. I knew I had to hurry up, though. Alex had absolutely no patience. And when I kept Alex waiting, he acted as though World War 3 just began. I guess I couldn't blame Alex for getting angry with me this time. I nagged him into having dinner with his brother, Tyrone, and Tyrone's girlfriend, Emma Park. Emma wasn't too pleased that I invited Alex either. She found him to be rude and obnoxious, which in all honesty, he was. Not that I would ever tell Alex that. And I didn't even want to think about Tyrone's and Alex's brother relationship. They weren't very fond of each other, to say the least.

I was trying to hurry up and get dressed. I put on a long-sleeved, purple shirt and casual blue jeans, which fit nicely on my tall and lean figure. I then put my long, red hair up in a ponytail, as it was too messy to leave down. Even with straight hair like mine, I still had bad hair days. I guess the only feature I liked about myself were my eyes, and I didn't even like my eyes very much. I would say I was my biggest critic, but Alex took the prize for that category. Oh well, I was used to him by now, I mean, we started dating when I was fifteen years old and I was now twenty five years old. That's a long time to spend with someone like Alex, but I did love him with all my heart. No matter what bad things he had done, my feelings for him hadn't changed.

"Trisha, come one!" Alex screamed. "I don't have all fucking day to wait for you!"

I put on my heels and rushed downstairs. I didn't want to get hurt...again. I loved Alex too much to even say in words, but I disliked him when he got like this, which was often.

"Sorry for taking so long, baby," I said, trying to soften him up. "I was just trying to look good for you."

Alex looked at me, checking me out. "You could have done a better job, then." His voice was mocking and cold.

Ouch, that one stinged. "Thanks, Alex," I said, walking towards the door. "I really appreciate your kindness."

I knew I shouldn't have said that, as Alex hated sarcasm when it was used against him. Although, I was being dead serious. I didn't understand how he thought saying those kinds of things to me was appropriate. I mean, it wasn't like he was the best looking guy in the whole universe. He was skinny and pale, had blond, short hair, and pale green eyes. Yet he made fun of my appearance ever chance he got, and a lot of time what he said wasn't funny; it was just cruel.

Alex got up and came inches away from me. His cool breath against my cheek, as he breathed in my scent. "I love you Trisha, I really do. But piss me off one more time, and you won't ever use that tone with me ever again," Alex warned, while he grabbed my wrist and squeezed it roughly.

I bit my lip, trying not to show him how much it hurt. "Yeah, got it," I said.

"Good, now let's get this stupid dinner over with," he said, giving me a short kiss.

I nodded, smiling. This was going to be a very long night.

*Tyrone's P.O.V*

"Emma, baby, let's go. We don't have much time before we're late," I said, waiting patiently on the couch. "You're the one that insisted on having dinner with them. I don't want to be late."

I understood that the average girl took a while to get ready, but Emma pushed the limit. Sometimes I saw her looking at herself in the mirror for ten minutes or so. I'm all for confidence, but damn, I didn't get how someone can look at themselves in the mirror for a long period of time and not get bored. But that was Emma for you.

"Can you just wait?" Emma asked. "I need to look my best, Tyrone. You have no idea what I'm going through!"

She was right, I didn't understand the big deal about the situation. It was one dinner, which I didn't even want to go to. I didn't mind Trisha coming--she had been my friend ever since she started dating Alex. I didn't know how she could have dealt with someone like Alex for about ten years, but I gave her major props for it. Alex was a complete dick, and I really didn't think he deserved a girl like Trisha. For a matter of fact, he didn't deserve anyone. And I had to go to dinner with my loser brother. Great, just great.

"How do I look?" Emma asked, flaunting her stuff.

"You look nice, honey," I told her, checking her out. "Can we go now?"

"Tyrone!" she said, looking annoyed with me. "I took so long to look my best for you and all you have to say is that I look nice?"

Oh God, what did I do this time? I swear, Emma loved to start these arguments with me. We really didn't have time for this.

"Fine, you look hot as hell," I told her, which she honestly did. "Can you not start overreacting about such small issues or whatever you'd like to call this?"

"You can just be an ass, Tyrone! It's like you done care when you hurt my feelings," she said, glaring at me.

I didn't know what I did or why Emma was so upset with me, but Alex would complain the whole night if we were late, and my patience was already being worn down by Emma. I guess I had to be the mature one here, because Emma was clearly not going to let this go.

"Whatever I did to get you so upset, I'm sorry. Okay, Emma? I'm sorry. Can we just let this go and try to have fun tonight?" I asked, slightly hopeful that she would let it go.

Emma loosened up a bit and smiled at me. "Fine, but don't piss my off tonight. I plan on having a really good time," she said, walking out of our apartment.

I rolled my eyes. This was going to be a very long night.

Author's Note- This was pretty short, but I just wanted you guys to get a glimpse of Tyrone's and Trisha's lives. And yes, all chapters will have both of their P.O.V's. Thanks for those who read this. I'm excited to write this one, because the first one I wrote didn't satisfy me.

Book cover credits go to Kitkattish-love you, Kit Kat! :D

I hope you enjoy this, lovelies!Next chapter up soon!
