Novel By: peace629
Romance

What would you do if one day, someone came up to you and told you that you have a totally different life in a totally different world?

Adelie's life isn't what she would've planned for herself. Her mother's in an off and on again relationship with a total creep. She has practically no friends. And her love life is seriously lacking.

But then, out of the blue, a boy she's never met tells her that he's in love with her, and they have a life together in a different world where it's practically perfect.

Crazy, right? Yea, that's what Adelie thinks, too. So, how is it possible that she could be falling for this weirdo? And how does Cade know these things about her that she's never told anyone?

He says true love's kiss can fix everything. Just a kiss. View table of contents...

" How did it happen that our lips came together
How does it happen that birds sing, that snow melts,
that the rose unfolds, that the dawn unwhitens behind the
stark shapes of trees on the quivering summit of the hill?
A kiss, and all was said. "

- Victor Hugo

Preface

I can't lose him. I love Cade so much that if something happened to him, I wouldn't know what to do with myself.

That's why I have to protect him.

"Cade! In here!"

Mom and Dad - the king and queen of Eastwood - told me that if anything were to go wrong, and I was in the castle, I was to hide myself and whoever was with me in the hole in the wall. No one would find us there.

But it 's too late.

Before Cade can climb in, the witch breaks through the door. She grabs him by his dark black hair and yanks him up. I scream.

"You stupid boy," she smiles as she looks up at him with lustfilled eyes.

The witch, unlike what's heard in most fairytales, is extraordinarily beautiful. Long, wavy, white hair falls well past her shoulders, and her big blue eyes sparkles in the moonlight shining through the cracks in the wall.

She could've had any man that she wanted. Except for Cade. He was mine. So, naturally, that's who she chose for her own.

But he was already in love with me, which caused an overflow of jealousy to wash through her. No one had ever stood in the way of what she wanted.

"Maybe, the next time, you'll do it right."

I have no idea what she's talking about - or more like murmuring about, but it can't be good. I know she's casting a spell on him.

On me.

On our lives.

Not long after her lips stop moving, my love is gone, and she begins walking towards me, eyes red with fury.

A/N: Just the preface, that's why it's so short. It's, like, a small taste of what the story is about. Hopefully you liked it! Please leave comments, because constructive criticism is much appreciated.(:
