Great! Jennifer is once again out to ruin my life and she just threatened to kill Jasmine! It’s really scaring Jasmine, and I can’t do anything about it, which really hurts me! I had been getting really frustrated with all Jennifer had done, but this was just too much. I hugged Jasmine tightly, but all she did was just press her face into my chest, and I began to feel it become wet with her tears. I lifted her chin for her to look up at me and said,
“Jasmine, I love you; don’t worry about her, she’s not going to be able to mess with you after today and especially after next week(which is when we had both planned for me to turn her so she could get situated first in her new living situation).” She sighed and whispered,
“I love you, too,” but I couldn’t help but wonder if she was having second thoughts about everything. It really would hurt me if she changed her mind, because I couldn’t live forever knowing that I’d lost my true love, especially when I watched her die from old age or something else. My heart would break in two, and life would be just unbearable. Me and Jasmine were walking inside the auditorium as I was thinking this, and now we were sitting in some chairs with the other seniors, waiting for the graduation ceremony to begin. Jennifer walked in right as the music began to play, smirking at us and then moving to her place in line as we all formed it in alphabetical order. We started to walk down the aisle between the chairs of family members, and I smiled at Mom and Dad as I passed. We stopped near the bottom of the steps to the stage and then the ceremony began as we took our special chairs right in front of the stage. It droned on and on, and finally we lined up so they could begin to give out the degrees. I smiled and admired Jasmine as they announced her name and she went on stage to receive her degree. She smiled down at Mom and Dad, but for some strange reason, she didn’t even look at me. She must still be having second thoughts; I hope she makes her mind up soon. A few names later and finally, the moment I’d been waiting for all day. They announced my name and I basically ran up the stage, shouting,
“Yes, finally; high school’s over!” The principal laughed as I hugged him tight and then grabbed my degree from his hand, basically skipping back down the steps. Finally, the ceremony ended and me and Jasmine met in the cafeteria, where everyone was having snacks and refreshments. Jennifer smirked as she walked by and said,
“Be ready to die soon, Jasmine!” Jasmine gasped and fainted, me catching her with my swift vampire-like movements. She woke up a second later, and whispered,
“Jordan, I’m so scared… I don’t know if I still want to go through with this.” I sighed and whispered back,
“Jasmine, don’t leave me; not now, after everything we’ve been through; I couldn’t live with myself if I had to watch you die and live without you forever.” She sighed and tried to stand up. She succeeded, wobbling a little bit in the process.
“Jordan, I just need some time to think, okay?” she said quietly. I nodded as she walked off and sat down at a table all alone.
I sighed as I walked slowly away from Jordan and sat down at a nearby table that had no one sitting at it. I began to think, and finally came to the conclusion: I couldn’t live without Jordan, but yet I don’t want to die or become a vampire. I just couldn’t make up my mind. *Sigh*, I mean, I have no one left in this realm, I may as well go with Jordan, because I have no family or anyone else left here. I got up and walked over to Jordan, who was standing sadly off to the side, waiting for my decision. He sucked his breath in, anticipating the worst.
“Jordan, I love you, and I want to be with you; it’s just that I don’t want to die or become a vampire, losing all my human traits in the process, but yet I want to be with you forever and I have nothing left in this realm anyways since my parents are dead,” I said, pausing, then continuing,
“And I’ve decided that…” Just then, Jordan’s parents came up, so I couldn’t finish my answer.
“Hey, kids, ready to go home and finish packing? Make sure you tell all your friends goodbye, since you’ll never see them again,” Mom said. I walked over to my friends and started hugging them one by one, crying and telling each other to keep in touch, me saying I don’t have cell reception at my “college” so to talk through IM and email. We all agreed and hugged each other one last time. As I started to walk off, Natalie, with tears in her eyes, hugged me tight, saying,
“Girl, I’m going to miss you so much! Email and IM me every day!” I smiled and whispered,
“I will.” We hugged one last time, and then I waved as I walked out the cafeteria door and out into the parking lot where Jordan, Mom, and Dad were waiting for me.
“There you are; okay kids, hurry up and get home so we can finish packing!” Dad said, and then they both disappeared, probably running home. Jordan led me quietly towards his Corvette and opened my door. I got in and a second later, he was right next to me and starting the car. Before he put it in drive, he whispered,
“What is your decision, Jasmine?” I sighed and said,
“I’m going with you.” He instantly smiled, perking up, and turned my head, planting a kiss on my lips. He smiled the whole way home. When we got home, we instantly raced upstairs and finished packing. I changed my clothes, first, though, and then began the packing. I sighed as I packed a picture of me and parents when we went on a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas when I was 8. It brought back all those painful memories. I knew one thing, I was going to find those vamps who had killed my parents and get revenge on them. I sighed again as I put a picture of all my friends and me when I had had my first sleepover birthday party, and it was a big occasion, since we had been friends since we had been in diapers. A tear escaped from my eyes as I noticed Jordan walking in the room. He smiled, but then frowned when he noticed the tear. He was in front of me in a second, and then he wiped the tear away and then stared sadly down at the picture I still held in my hands. I sighed as he whispered,
“It’ll be okay.” I nodded and then the waterworks came. He instantly pulled me into his arms as tears drowned my face and eventually soaked his shirt. He kept whispering,
“I love you,” until I finally pulled back and dried my tears. I sighed and finished packing as I said,
“I love you, too.” He watched as I stuffed the last bit of my stuff in my suitcase and then tried to pick it up, not succeeding to even lift it an inch off the bed. He laughed and appeared next to me, lifting it up above his head and standing it on the floor. He said,
“You want the strong guy to carry it?” I laughed and said,
“Please.” He smiled as he rolled it out my room and then picked it up as he walked down the stairs. I followed slowly, taking in everything for the last time, since I’d never see it again. I finally reached the bottom step, laughing as Jordan took my hand and pretended to be a gentleman and helping me down the last step, but instead of letting go, he lifted me up (using only one hand!~ he never ceases to amaze me) and into his arms bridal style. I laughed as he said,
“Are you ready?” I smiled and said,
“Of course.” I love you. He smiled and said,
“I love you, too.” I can get used to this every day for forever. He smiled again and said,
“Well, good, because it will be like this for forever.” Mom and Dad walked in, carrying the last of their things out to the Hummer Limo. They smiled as they noticed me in Jordan arms. They put the stuff up and came walking back inside instantly, and Mom said,
“Are you two ready?” I looked up at Jordan, who smiled down at me. We replied in unison,
“Yes.” Dad said,
“Let’s go then.” Jordan carried me out to one of the Hummer Limos in the driveway(the other ones were for luggage and things) and hopped in, still holding me in his arms as he sat down in the seat. Mom and Dad got in a second later, sitting on the other side of the limo so they were facing us. Jordan, I can sit on my own you know, I giggled in my head. He smiled and released his firm grip around me, allowing me to sit up next to him. We talked for awhile as we drove away from the mansion, but I eventually became tired and Jordan noticed that and forced me to sleep, so he picked me up and cradled me in his arms. I rested my head against his muscular chest, and eventually fell into a peaceful sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up, still in Jordan’s arms. He let me sit up next to him, and I looked out the window, not recognizing any of the scenery, though we were only inside a forest. A minute later, the limo pulled to a stop. Jordan smiled and said,
“We’re at the portal; we can get out and take our last glimpses of the human realm if you want to.” I smiled and nodded. Jordan’s parents got out and then Jordan climbed out, helping me out afterwards. I looked around and noticed that, of course, we were still in a forest, but in a clearing. I followed Jordan to the front of the limo, where I saw the most amazing thing ever. I saw about 5 vampires guarding the entrance to some swirly mass of colors, mostly gold and clear, though. I could see an image of a magnificent gold and white castle in it, which Jordan immediately told me was the palace where we would be living. I stared in awe at it, and then realized something.
“How are we supposed to go through it?” I asked.
“Well, the limos won’t fit through it, so we will have to walk through it and then climb into a limo waiting on the other side for us, and the servants will carry all the luggage to the other waiting limos,” Jordan responded as we took our last glances at the human realm. Mom and Dad had already gone through, and now it was our turn.
“Ready?” Jordan asked.
“Well, as long as you promise to never leave me and to always love me,” I said.
“You know I will fulfill that,” he responded. He took my hand, as we stood in front of the portal, now unguarded, and said,
“I love you, Jasmine, and always will, no matter what.” I smiled and said,
“I love you.” And with that we stepped into the portal, leaving the human realm and our old lives behind. It was the start of a brand new beginning for me and Jordan, but especially me.
