I know this chapter is kinda short, too, but as the novel continues, they get longer.

Chapter 3

POV: Jasmine

Oh my gosh! Jordan just asked me out on a date! My dreams have come true! Hopefully it goes well tonight. We’re going to dinner and a movie, but he wants to talk afterwards at the park, alone. Maybe that means he’s going to ask me to be his girlfriend! I know it’s wishful thinking, but it would be awesome if it happened! This school year is turning out better then I thought it would: now all I need is some adventure and excitement. Hopefully they’ll come soon. But what I least expected was that they’d come sooner than I had hoped.

It’s almost time for our date! I’ve picked out the absolutely cutest outfit ever! It’s ajean mini skirt, but not too short, and a white blouse that is gorgeous! I’ve got silver hoop earrings and a pretty charm bracelet and necklace to match. I let my hair just stay straight, it always looked the best like that. Oh my gosh! It’s 7:00! He should be here any minute! *Ding Dong* I heard the doorbell ring, told my parents goodbye, and rushed to open the door. He looked amazing! He had an a casual pair of jeans and a black button-up shirt. Well, here goes nothing!

POV: Jordan

Well, I got to her house and rang the doorbell. She opened it and looked gorgeous! What I’d give to have her as my girlfriend, but I don’t wanna put her in danger, being around me does that, I thought to myself as I escorted her outside to my parents' black Hummer Limo.They let me ride in that since I can't have a car yet, even though I'm technically way old enough to drive. It was more of a special occasion car then anything else, though. She gasped when she saw it, and said that it was beautiful. Wow, I’m glad I’ve already impressed her, I thought.

“WOW! But wait... who's gonna drive us?” she exclaimed in disbelief.

"I have a chauffeur,” I said, motioning to the front seat where my chauffeur, Danny,(who also happened to be a vampire and my bodyguard) was sitting. Well, we went to a pretty nice Italian restaurant inside of town called Carrabba’s. It looked pretty good, plus, since I could read her mind, I knew she loved Italian food. The food looked pretty good, even though I couldn’t have any. It made me wish that for at least tonight, I was still mortal and not immortal. She wondered why I didn’t eat and I lied to her saying,

“I had a big lunch, so I’m not very hungry.” Surprisingly, she believed me, I guess I have a kind of charm that can make people believe whatever I say. Well, after eating, I took her to see a new romance/action movie out, That Dangerous 1st Kiss. It was pretty good, and I held her tight and shielded her eyes when there were scary parts. After that, I read her mind. This has been the best date ever, so far, ohhhhh, I hope he asks me to be his girlfriend soon, because I feel like I’ve found my perfect guy, she thought. Just then, we arrived at the park. Well, she’s not gonna feel that way in a few minutes after I tell her the truth about me, I thought to myself and sighed as we entered the park and sat down on a bench, all alone on this peaceful, quiet night.
