Chapter 9
POV: Jordan
Oh no! I thought to myself as my dad walked closer.
“Son, what are you doing with that human?” he asked.
“She was eavesdropping, so I thought I’d finish her off, so give us some privacy,” I responded quickly.
“I don’t believe you,” my dad said, then gasping as he said with disgust,
“You’re in love with that pathetic human???!!!!” I sighed, realizing he had read my mind. My dad raced over and pushed us apart, grabbing Jasmine’s wrist and lifting her up and throwing her over his shoulder.
“Son, you’re a disgrace! I can’t believe you! Well, you need to rest up for tomorrow, meanwhile, I’m thirsty,” he said evilly, glaring wickedly at Jasmine.
“No, Dad!” I yelled, but it was too late: he had already disappeared. I started to sniff out Jasmine, and eventually it led me down to the dark basement, where I heard a commotion going on. Using my special see-in-the-dark vampire vision, I saw my dad restraining Jasmine, fangs out. He grabbed some old chains and chained her to a rusty old bed. I saw him come closer to her, sniffing her neck. I knew if I did anything, he would hurt Jasmine even more, so I kept my mouth shut. He finally found a good spot, covered her mouth with one hand, and lifted her chin up with the other. He said,
“Now, I’m sorry that things didn’t work out with you and Jordan, but you should’ve known better then to come to a house full of vampires.” He then bit into her neck, and she screamed as best as she could with his hand over her mouth.
POV: Jasmine
I screamed as best as I could as the 2 razor sharp fangs sank into my neck. I fidgeted, but it did me no good, since he had super strength and all. I felt blood running down my neck and covering my body, but it comforted me a little that it was so dark that I couldn’t see it. I could feel myself becoming weaker and weaker as he drained me, and finally, I closed my eyes, hoping for death to come soon so I would suffer no more pain. All of a sudden, the fangs withdrew, and I could hear a loud commotion going on, but of course, I couldn’t see anything. A minute or two later, I felt myself being unchained and lifted into gentle and familiar arms. I heard a familiar voice say,
“It’s ok, Jasmine, it’s Jordan, you’re safe now.” After I heard this, I blacked out.
