"It's incredible" said Summer sleepily smiling as we sat on the roof watching the blue sunset. It felt literally like a piece of heaven. I was sitting on the bench and Summer was lying next to me with her head on my lap.

"Yeah…it's something alright" I confessed while running my fingers through her brunette hair locks.

"I'm getting sleepy" she said closing her eyes as I sighed.

"Well, it's been 5 hours and you spent them all dancing to music off my iphone" I said "I'd be freaked out if you weren't tired".

"I don't wanna leave Raymond" sighed Summer "I don't want to spend this summer in a rehab center, this was supposed to be the best summer of my life".

"You'll get better and we'll have plenty of other summers" I said as she sat up with her back leaning on my chest "But you need this…it's what's best for you".

"You really think so?" she asked as I nodded and kissed her head burying my face in her hair.

"I promise" I mumbled.

.:. Ronnie's P.O.V .:.

I woke up in the morning at the voice of people yelling. It took me a while to realize that they were my parents.

I stood up confused and walked downstairs where my parents were both fighting in the living room.

I hid behind the wall listening to them.

"I don't care" yelled my mum "I want a divorce and that's final…I'm filing it tomorrow".

"You can't" said my dad as I accidentally sneezed interrupting them and they both went in a silence. I took a deep breath and decided I had no choice but to show myself. I walked to both of them and they both looked at me shocked.

"Ronnie" said my dad frozen "We thought you were at the hospital with Summer".

"I came back last night" I said shrugging as they both nodded slowly "What's going on? Why are you guys fighting?".

"We're gonna get a divorce" said mum crossing her arms as dad looked at her in disbelief.

"We're still having a conversation" said dad as mum shook her head.

"I'm done talking" said mum before storming out the living room as I turned to my dad confused.

"What happened?" I asked as he sighed.

.:. Summer's P.O.V .:.

"He cheated" yelled Ronnie in anger pacing around the hospital room as I watched her as I sat on my bed having breakfast from the tray "How could he cheat on my mum? She's an incredible person".

"Shit happens" I said shrugging as I played with my bread. I noticed she was quiet and I looked up at her and she was looking at me in disbelief "Sorry, I got distracted like always but carry on, I'll listen this time I swear".

She sighed and herself on the bed and lied next to me "I wish I can run away Summer, and leave everything behind me".

"Me too" I said biting my bread than sighing.

"You know…I met Henry a couple of days ago" she said as it took me a minute to remember who's Jeremy.

"Oh Henry" I said remembering him "Olivia's cute cousin".

"Yeah" she said "He said that he's going to drive across the country this summer and… he asked me to go with him".

It took me two minutes two sink it all in. It sounded too…easy. I was so happy for her but at the same time I didn't want her to leave.

"That sounds so…simple" I said as she nodded "Do you want to go?".

"Well…" started Ronnie "When he asked me it seemed so stupid and so impossible cause I can't just leave you in a time like this but…after what happened this morning I remembered something important".

"And what's that?" I asked sighing.

"How much I hate this place" said Ronnie as I chuckled and she sat up "I'm serious Summer, remember how we always said we want to get out this hell hole?".

"I have to remember, it happened a couple of months ago" I said.

"And now I have a chance so why wait till college?" said Ronnie as I shrugged "But at the same time, I don't want to leave you alone".

"Who said I'm alone?" I said nudging at Raymond who was standing outside. I could see him through the glass in the door.

"Raymond's a dick Summer" said Ronnie as I kept myself from laughing "I'm serious Summer, you can never trust a guy especially not him but a friend…is always gonna be there for better or worse".

"Husbands do that too" I pointed out.

"I don't think Raymond's planning on getting married any time soon" said Ronnie as I laughed "If I leave…Will you be ok?".

I thought about it as I closed my eyes and took a deep breath "Yes…Ronnie I'll be fine, it's just one summer and it's not like we're never gonna speak again".

"Are you sure?" she said standing up and pointing at me in assurance as I gave her a duh look "Wow…I'm going to Los Angeles with Henry".

"You're going to Los Angeles with Henry" I repeated as she put on a big wide smile. It was nice to see her happy for a change.

Raymond opened the door quickly and rushed inside.

"Hello, we're having a private conversation" said Ronnie as Raymond breathed heavily.

"Jessica's water broke last night" said Raymond as my eyes widened "It's a girl".

"Oh my god" said Ronnie as Raymond nodded.

"You…You should go" I said frozen as he nodded at me "You should go and… be there…for Jessica".

"Really?" said Raymond walking to me in assurance as I nodded.

"Yeah…You should go" I said forcing myself to do the right thing despite the hate I have for Jessica.

"Thank you so much" said Raymond giving me a short peck on the lips "I swear, I'll be back as fast as I can".

"Just go already" said Ronnie as Raymond nodded and ran out of the room "What an idiot".

I couldn't help but smile.
