 Chapter 10

Amelia found Tristan finally. He was standing in a large group of boys talking about god knows what. They all looked indeed startled by the fact Amelia was standing there before them. Tristan had obviously not told them anything about last night, and Amelia didn't know how to feel about that. They watched as she walked up to Tristan and pulled him aside from the group.

"Hey, Kitty, why don’t' you watch the merchandise. Want to play with me like that". One of Tristan's friends, Richard, his name was, was teasing her, thinking that it would earn a reaction.

Tristan walked up to him. "Watch what you say, Richard, or I’ll have to do something about it". He had grabbed Richard by the t-shirt and raised him off the ground.

"Okay, okay, gees, watch it Tristan". They group were shocked by this reaction, Tristan had obviously never defended a girl in that way. He walked over to the oval with Amelia, and they sat down at a picnic table.

"Hey". That was all he could say. His face was consumed by a large grin. He was very handsome, and Amelia found herself, once again, lost in his dark brown eyes.

"Hey". She replied, before she knew it she was pulled close to him, and they were kissing again. She felt at ease, happy. They stayed together until the bell rang. She got up reluctantly, but he was still holding onto her.

"If we don't go we're going to be late for class".

"Yeah, but it'd be worth it just to be with you for an extra 5 minutes". He had that kind of corny grin on his face, but he gave in. He saw that she didn't want to go, but that she had to, and he didn't want to hold her back.

"So, i was thinking, do you maybe, want to do something tonight?" He asked her, looking hopefully into her eyes.

"Yeah, of course, sounds fun. But what are we going to do?"

"Oh, you'll see. It's a surprise. Now you better go, you don't want to be late for class". He smirked, using her words against her.

"But.......". Amelia didn’t' like surprises very much, but she couldn't see how this could be bad so, she reluctantly said, "Okay, I’ll see you later then".

"Yeah, definitely". He waved her off. Amelia couldn't help but look back at him, as she walked back across the oval to class.

She felt happy and safe with Tristan, more than words could describe, and as she sat in class that morning all she could think of was that brown-eyed angel whom she was to be with that night.
