Evaline's POV:
I yawned sleepily and pulled myself out of bed. I looked down and noticed Skyler wasn't there. I shrugged, she was probably on her morning jog. I skipped downstairs and opened the cupboard, taking out the box of Coco Pops. I poured the cereal into a bowl and heated up some milk; I liked it warm. I heard the microwave beep and added the milk to the cereal, stirring it until it was a beautiful brown. After eating my breakfast, I raced upstairs and plunged into the bed.
"What shall I wear today...?" I asked myself, getting up and walking to Skyler's closet. I giggled as I mentally planned out the sexiest, most perfect outfit. A girl shouldn't need a special occasion to doll herself up. I quickly showered, and began my makeover...of the day. I dressed in a yellow body con mini skirt, a pink side strap bra-top and hot pink heels. I curled my silky blonde hair, painted my lips with bubble-gum pink gloss, and coated my eyelids with sparkly pink shadow. I looked in the mirror and whistled at myself.
"Boy, do I look hot," I purred, wiggling my eyebrows. The door bell rang, and I strutted down the stairs and to the door. I opened it and put on a sexy smile, only to find Khol standing there.
"Oh, it's you," I groaned, disappointed. He rolled his eyes and stepped in, not even noticing my outfit. I emptied my throat deliberately and waited for him to comment.
"Well? How do I look!?" I yelled at him. He laughed at my impatience and turned around, still looking for something...or someone.
"Do Ineedto flatter you, Eva? You always look smokin'," he complimented, and I grinned egotistically.
"You lookin' for Skyler?" I questioned, closing the door. He nodded, still surveying the house.
"She's not here dumbass, she's on her jog," I scoffed and flipped my hair.
"I wanted to apologise again," he mumbled, and I pitied him. He didn't even know about Seth and Skyler...
"You'll never guess what happened yesterday!" I announced.
"What?"
"Someone broke in-"
"What!? Is Skyler okay?"
"Yeah, perfect. I'm fine too, jackass," I hissed, and Khol snickered. I rolled my eyes and continued, "And Paws is missing!"
"Oh, no. Sky must be devastated," he sighed. I nodded; she was.
"It gets worse!" I began, then realised Sky and I hadn't told him about the wolf. "Never mind..."
"No, tell me," he urged. I shook my head and skiddadled away. Khol chased after me and grabbed my arm, hard.
"Tell.me." he gritted through his teeth. I'd never seen him like this—he was always so gentle and...kind. I gulped and struggled to find my words. He let go of me and stepped back.
"I-I'm sorry...I don't know what came over me," he stuttered, "You know I love Skyler." I laughed nervously...and slowly...backed away.
Then ran.
I ran and didn't stop, even as I reached the park. I looked around frantically, trying to spot Skyler but it was futile.
"God knows where she is!" I moaned, still running in my high heels. I heard someone running behind me, and sped up.
"Don't stop, Eva, don't stop!" I told myself.
