I gulped and stared at him, as he closed the door and brushed past us, walking to the livingroom and sitting down. Eva and I looked at each other and went over to him, but chose to stand.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, nervously...and akwardly. I'd completely forgotten he existed; sad, I know. When I was with Seth, everything else disappeared; it was just us two. That, and the fact we were basically held hostage by his crazy ex.
"What, I can't visit my girlfriend?" he grinned, and I flinched at his words. He looked at me, up and down, and stood up.
"Something's wrong," he judged, standing too close to me. Eva moved forward and pushed him back.
"Yeah, like the fact that you went crazy at me this morning," she sneered and he rolled his eyes.
"So, I was worried about Skyler, mygirlfriend. Shoot me," he scoffed. She laughed in his face, but I remained silent.
"Tell the truth, Khol," I eventually spoke. He looked down and switched his weight from leg to leg.
"I'm not who you think I am," he mumbled. This time,Ilaughed in his face.
"Spare me the cliché," I spat. "You went after Eva, andno one messes with my bestfriend."
"Skyler, I'm a werewolf," he announced. Eva and I gawked, but after everything that'd happen, we believed him.
"A werewolf?" Eva repeated, mystified. I slapped him hard across the face, hoping what he was didn't shield him.
"Ow! That fucking hurt, Skyler," he hissed, and I smiled haughtily.
"So, you know I'm one too?" I blurted, regretting it immediately. He chuckled and nodded.
"You have the scent. Earthy, perfect..." he murmured, stepping closer and lowering his head. I turned mine, making him kiss my cheek instead.
"I thought I smelled him on you," I snarled, pulled away and kicking the low, glass table.
"Khol, I-I can e-explain," I stuttered, but he silenced me with his finger.
"Don't bother," he snapped. "Do you love him?"
The question startled me, and it took a while for me to answer.
"Yes...I do. But it doesn't matter anyway, not anymore,"
"Why is that?"
"Because Lydia came for him, and I let him go. I had to for my family..."
"So she finally got what she wanted..." he mumbled. I eyed him.
"Youknew?" Eva barked. Khol nodded and looked down.
"I knew the moment they entered my pack's territory," he affirmed. I gaped at him. He was in a pack?
"You're part of pack?" Eva vocalized for me.
"I'm the Alpha. Tyler and Jordan are members of the pack," he grinned.
"You gotta be fucking me!" I screamed and threw my hands in the air. Eva scoffed and walked to the kitchen, returning with a glass of water.
"You mean to tell me...all this time, you were a werewolf, knew I was one and you didn't think to tell me!?" I growled. Khol backed away.
"You seem different...your wolf. She's stronger," he whispered, not averting his gaze from mine.
"Yeah, I'm even more bad-ass then before. So don't push me wolf-boy," I smirked, flashing my keen canines.
